Has Richard Tice resigned from his front bench & deputy leader positions in Reform yet?

It's a week since controversy over his unpaid tax came to light. It is way more serious than anything related to Angela Rayner.

He called for her to go. But he remains in place.

Why won't Reform take action?

Yes, Swiss scientist Fritz Zwicky coined the term “dark matter” which is impressive, but he also coined the term “spherical bastard” to describe people who are bastards no matter which way you look at them, and I think that should be celebrated more.

Not branded, but brinded, it was autocorrected and I didn't notice.

Ong bookend.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I get a big dopamine hit on the odd occasion you've like one of my posts. Although getting a like from Ricky Jervais (re cat joke) and Gikes Brandreth (re independant bookshops), Prof Cox (aurora borealis) was pretty good.

Poem - Word Crunching (it has 8 lines)
I
wrote
a poem
on a page
but then each line grew
to the sum of the previous two
until I began to worry about all these words coming with such frequency
because, as you can see, it can be easy to run out of space when a poem gets all Fibonacci sequency

I admire poet Brian Bilston's word play.

Book Shakespeare-The Mystery. Pictures Queen Elizabeth I and William Shakespeare. Author George Elliott Sweet.

Haven't read those, but my OH has this old library book, published 1963 and put out to pasture by the lending library in 1977. I did read it. In it Sweet postulates that Queen Elizabeth I was in fact Shakespeare.

Ah well, it's also my late father's birthday so I have a soft spot for this date. Also, if I wanted to go for the triptych, Saint George's day in England. 🌹 😃

Nigel Farage keeps boasting about
how Reform candidates are 'carefully vetted'

So carefully, that they welcomed with open arms
a Tory councillor suspended amid allegations
he sent an unsolicited image of his “private parts”

The art of the insult...

To the King's Theatre, where we saw Midsummer Night's Dream, which I had never seen before, nor shall ever see again, for it is the most insipid, ridiculous play that I ever saw.
Samuel Pepys (1633-1703) English writer.

I'm just relieved nobody is talking about how I said I bought a house in Clacton, then admitted it was in the name of my girlfriend, Laure Ferrari, even though she couldn't afford £885,000, which conveniently meant I avoided £44,000 in tax.

Not to be seen on the BBC TV News, doesn’t suit their agenda .

Also not to be seen in the Telegraph, Express, Mail, Sun, etc.

And nowadays not in the Guardian either.
