That Tampa bay goal against Montreal was sick nasty
I feel like you never see a wrap around work like that, a hockey slam dunk

Cameras are unbanned
If they take this goal away, ban all cameras in hockey
That was a next level OT win by Carolina
Jeebus. 6 guys on the ice, penalty incoming and just some amazing passes and what a goal
NYC was dibs too unless you had a crazy move to book, Westchester NY was where the town actually was super useful when it came to getting some spots blocked off(which is about the same density as Portland tbh so a good comparison of a working system for this)
Online booking, paid via taxes, & easy
Nope, everyone, in this case a house on a residential street
This is quite the bummer
Didn’t know he played for USC in football, explains how Starship Troopers Arena-style Football scene worked so well

That goal Utah had at the end of the 1st was absurd
Started with the smart choice to not take the easy shot and look for a pass after crossing the blue line
What a goal
I'll keep complaining about this because it's fixable. No normal person should have to go through 3-4 stakeholders for something as simple as a moving permit - especially when the cost is so high!
Turns out it’s easier to just park your car and get your friends to park in the spots you need for moving than use a city service, great job @mayorkwilson.bsky.social
Now to apply for a permit refund which of course requires a PDF to be filled out and sent in, lovely
Moving in Portland is horribly run, 45$ for a permit to put up no parking signs for your moving truck. Also you have to print them yourself & rent barricades to put them on. Then you pay the police 75$ to “inspect them” to make the active
In New York you just applied for a permit & the cops did it
If there is a state with greater scenic beauty than Oregon, I haven’t seen it. Mountains, high desert, Pacific, Hood, Columbia, Portland — it’s just spectacular. I don’t want to spoil anything for residents, but it’s a truly underrated state. I’m lucky to have married into it.
love the fake news segments from For All Mankind, they're all cut footage from unmade Command and Conquer games
NEW: Zelenskyy confirmed for the first time that Ukrainian electronic warfare systems & interceptors were used to take down Iranian Shahed drones in “several” Gulf countries hosting US military infrastructure.
“Did we destroy them? Yes, we did,” he told @FT.

ok but shooting down airplanes with surface to air missiles and IR sensors isn't asymmetric anything
Notable about the Isfahan rescue mission: the reason all these JSOC forces were in place in the region—from both Delta and SEAL Team 6 as well as the Rangers—is because of a big JSOC surge a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the highly enriched uranium raid, if ordered. Normally JSOC keeps…
“A U.S military official said it took hours to get the weapons officer’s location and determine that it was him. Military officials were assisted by the C.I.A., which used a special piece of technology unique to the agency to locate the airman hiding in the mountain crevice and confirm his identity”
Desert One except it all worked out in the end!
Well I sincerely hope there isn’t a *third* time we land C-130s at a desert airstrip in Iran, after how this time and the previous time went. Incredible that none of the rescuers were killed and a testament to them, but holy shit, talk about history rhyming.
One can only hope, but it likely wasn’t the only IDd FARP point
Unfortunately getting the feeling that this very risky rescue has emboldened proponents of the HEU retrieval option, which sounds counter intuitive when you look at the material losses at the FARP, but alas…
Two weeks ago, the Hungarian opposition was bracing for a false flag operation, an "emergency" that would allow Viktor Orban to turn the tide or even cancel an election he is losing. Now it appears to have arrived
Anything that transmits can be found, sometimes you can transmit but decide not to
Other times you want to transmit but the enemy decides to jam or interfere with that transmission
Hey, I’m as curious as you are as to what this means, Barak is pretty well sourced so I assume there was more going on than the usual beacon/ radio situation
It’s a EW intense environment, there is a lot that we aren’t aware of yet
Sounds like a combo of satellite imagery, some SIGINT, probably some amazing algorithmic filtering
probs worth giving the NRO some credit here tbh
