Anon asked on Mar 19: Okay but I do also need that player to have bluetooth if possible. Not even a convienience thing, I’m a fidgety free-roamer constantly walking around getting headphone cords snagged on things and pulled out 👀👉👈 Tumblr user jendermad replied this on Mar 19: Here's your solution (imo) : "No money no object" (Android flavoured) Player: SONY NW-A55 or similar models. (they can be cheaper than FiiO models of same formfactor if it's an old stock or used) Software: Foobar2000, MortPlayer Headphones: Anything comfortable to your head (i.e. it's entirely depends on your liking - open\closed overall, on-ear) in wired form with detachable cable + a tiny jack<-->jack cable + a Bluetooth DAC.* "Cheap and good enough" (Android flavoured) Player: An old phone running GrapheneOS or any other custom non-AOSP OS (preferrable, if lazy - just use a launcher (Hyperion, KISS)) Software: Foobar2000, MortPlayer Headphones: Anything comfortable to your head (i.e. it's entirely depends on your liking - open\closed overall, on-ear) in wired form with detachable cable + a tiny jack<-->jack cable + a Bluetooth DAC.*
(continuation of previous image) "Retro and proud of it" Player: ("groddy yet cheap" approach) An iPod of any age (Classic\Photo\Video, i.e 4-6Gen) OR Creative Zen (any that show up as a usb storage when plugged in computer) OR SanDisk Sansa (any of those that can use Rockbox) plus a pair of portable bluetooth transmitter\recievers ("pricey & classy" approach) Either: SanDisk Clip Sport Plus, Cowon S9, Cowon J3, Creative ZEN Style M300 Headphones: Anything comfortable to your head (i.e. it's entirely depends on your liking - open\closed overall, on-ear) in wired form with detachable cable + a tiny jack<-->jack cable + a Bluetooth DAC.* *It's better to use something simple from FiiO, or splruge on BTR5 in case if you want to feel & hear everything (or have a pair 500ohm headphones laying around) Hope this helps, stranger <3 P.S. If by any chance wired headphones+BT-DAC is not a viable solution, one can buy either an Anker/Soundcore, (older models) AKG, Sony or splurge on B&0, Sonos, or Focal. If one is not afraid to order up from CN and in need of some IEMs - KZ or TRN are a good option, just be sure to order 078 connector instead of MMCX as latter one sometimes may be more fragile to use daily (for the BT modules, as it's better to have modules with connectors for swappable earpieces)
