I am sure most are just skimming! It also depends on the books! By including plenty of light novels & popular works or dissemination I am sure anyone can reach 200+. If I’m slow reading, I will be glad if I can read one per month. a proper slow reading of the Ethics will take ME at least 6 months

This paper by Hazel Biana is now out! She was one of the participants at the Philosophy of Religion in Asia conference Natalja Deng and I co-organized in Seoul, S Korea, in March 2023.
This paper examines reincarnation as a plot device in Korean romantic dramas. Really fun and interesting!

Magill's resignation, academic freedom, and honor I increasingly try to avoid commenting on US elite university campus politics. I have been away for too long, and — when you reach a certain age — all the ‘controversies’ blend into each other...

An interesting perspective (Eric Schliesser is always good to read on these matters, even when one disagrees) on distinguishing between academic and freedom of speech, and the problems when you conflate the two (and remarks on donor influence)

Was asked for a summary of the theme of Structural Injustice And The Law, I’m co-editing with @vmantouvalou.bsky.social.

Here goes (in part, anyway):

Political philosophers: structural injustice is such a complex phenomenon, it can’t be solved by law.

Philosophers of law: hold my claret.

I know! I do think her arguments are weak tho, specially the joke of Kant’s categorical imperative as a democratic election of a single voter

Literally everything you hate about Nozick (including his political philosophy) or everything restricted to his epistemology papers?
