the reform agenda necessary to even try to begin undoing the damage we are currently suffering will not be doable under the current Supreme Court
it is the linchpin upon which everything else rests, and without addressing it the next admin will be a failure

I'll be there on Saturday to say goodbye to this era of Penguins.
THAT'S MY HOCKEY TEAM BABY
Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so I’m gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.
France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.
Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars
The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.
Why aren't we doing this?
I feel like people focus a little too much on Bruce Springsteen having a slightly cringey stage persona singing boomer music and not enough on that boomer music being pretty fuckin good and him genuinely caring about stuff
Sidney Crosby is WEAK on crime
We have to STOP PRETENDING THIS IS NORMAL. It’s time to fight for the steering wheel, because the maniac driving is headed right for a cliff, and even crashing the bus is better than going over it.
the beautiful game
I love this photo of astronaut Christina Koch looking back at Earth from Artemis II.
She's the first woman to see the full sphere of our beautiful planet.
Welcome home to the crew, and thank you for reminding us of all we can discover together.
Artemis II was overshadowed by other bad things in the news but what it accomplished was frankly amazing. We are capable of incredible and unprecedented things. I’m in awe at how far we safely sent humans into space.
Earthset captured through the Orion spacecraft window at 6:41 p.m. EDT, April 6, 2026, during the Artemis II crew’s flyby of the Moon. A muted blue Earth with bright white clouds sets behind the cratered lunar surface. The dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. On Earth’s day side, swirling clouds are visible over the Australia and Oceania region. In the foreground, Ohm crater has terraced edges and a flat floor interrupted by central peaks. Central peaks form in complex craters when the lunar surface, liquefied on impact, splashes upwards during the crater’s formation. [alt text from NASA]
#Artemis II lunar flyby images are showing up! 😍

Just because a President announces he’s agreed to a two week ceasefire moments before he threatened to commit war crimes, does not mean he is suddenly fit to serve. #25thAmendment
I’m glad there is a reported ceasefire deal with Iran. But we shouldn’t be in this illegal war in the first place. And Donald Trump can’t simply threaten war crimes with impunity. Congress needs to get back in session now to stop this war and remove Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is deranged. He must be impeached and removed from office.
Republicans who don’t stop him will have blood on their hands, and anyone who carries out an order to bomb civilian targets will be complicit in war crimes and will be held accountable.
losing contact with the earth for 40 minutes sounds nice
América,
Your No Kings protests were a good start.
But I’m afraid to make a difference your going to have to be more like the French.
Protest every day.
Shut the country down.
One protest every 3 months doesn’t effect change. Daily pressure does.
A few have suggested that some aspects of this mission--joy, international teamwork, diversity--are being played up to stick it to the hateful attitude of the administration. But I don't think it's that. I think it's just that those things are essential to and inseparable from a mission like this.
I think the opposition party widely expected to make historic gains in the next election(s) has an obligation to explain how they'll stop this and prevent it from happening again or it's reasonable to conclude they don't plan on doing those things, which raises more uncomfortable questions
Always, and forever - FUCK TOM WILSON!
i fucking hate tom wilson
America 1776–2026
It was a good run
It's sad for all Americans that we have to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great nation with the most corrupt, evil president in our history.
or ... and hear me out ... there's no reason we should have a cap on the amount of income that's subject to the Social Security tax
When Donald Trump and his allies tried to overturn the will of Pennsylvania voters, I went to court 43 times to stop them — and won every single time.
Anyone who tries to attack Pennsylvanians’ fundamental freedom to vote will have to go through me.
The GOP hates America and everything it stands for. Their words and actions prove it. Facts don't lie, but the GOP does; over and over again.
One of the Netherlands best daily spectacles is the school run: every weekday at around 08:00, streets in cities, towns, villages, as well as in the countryside, fill up with children cycling to school. Made possible by safe, seamless bike infrastructure and plentiful school bike parking.
Instead of sending untrained ICE officers to help out the trained but unpaid TSA officers, how about we just stop paying ICE and start paying TSA?
Joel Pett cartoon of a climate conference speaker highlighting benefits of tackling climate change (energy independence, green jobs, etc) but a skeptic in the audience says “ what if it’s a big hoax and we create a better world for nothing?”
A classic, but it just keep getting right-er
it’s incredibly blackpilling to me that it takes rising gas prices and rising gas prices alone to have people turn against the war in iran, and not the american government murdering thousands of children and civilians in iran. americans are incredibly selfish
