ARB’s Code of Conduct includes six Standards guiding architects in professional conduct.
One of these is honesty and integrity, requiring impartial judgment, responsible promotion, and transparency about inducements, upholding these ensures trust and credibility.

This week, ARB colleagues attended a seminar presented by Judith Topley (nee Kalyanvala) and hosted by dMFK Architects, reflecting on research into gender equity in architecture, including the RIBA-commissioned Build It Together report by the Fawcett Society.

ARB colleagues visited Johannesburg to meet our regulatory counterpart, the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.
The visit provided insight into architect regulation in South Africa.
Thanks to SACAP for hosting, and to the Department for Business and Trade for support.
ARB has arrangements with partner regulatory organisations in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Canada - these arrangements allow architects to apply for registration for work or study, easily and quickly.

Creating a professional development plan (PDP) at the start of the year helps you identify learning objectives and CPD activities aligned with your practice and supports professional development.
A PDP is optional for most architects, but recommended.
