It’s going to be more important than ever before to teach your kids history. Real history. Teach them what’s right and what’s wrong. Teach them to stand up to injustice. In all likelihood there will not be another election here in 4 years

Read to your kids. Read everything to your kids. Ignore the suggested ages. If they love elephant and piggie then read that. If they love chapter books read that. Read picture books, history books, fantasy books. Just read

Social studies once a week, science once a week, no language, no art, no music, is not a well rounded education.

Every kid in school should have recess. Even high school kids would benefit from 10-20 minutes of fresh air and a brain break. If the weather doesn’t allow it use the gym. But sticking kids in a hot auditorium where they need to sit quietly makes absolutely no sense.

I printed 2 photos and stuck them in frames for my kids closest friends. Is it not common decency for the parents or kids to say thank you. Phone call, text, fb message. I’ll continue to be generous but I had it drilled into me since childhood that we say thank you at the very least
