Warm Hands of Ghosts by Katherine Arden is incredible (as is her winternight trilogy). Though I second a revisit to watership down! I read it after decades and my gosh it is still so good.

I know this is months after your post, but I was searching Chuck’s name to see if he resurfaced. I colored for him 3 years ago and never got paid. Always sob stories and promises from him. I think his MO is talking on the phone. I had no paper trail of payment discussions. Sorry you got scammed too

Bill Gates defends contentious climate shift "I'm glad people are listening," he said, before adding that it was hard to convey "nuanced positions nowadays."

As I am one of the climate scientists he is referring to here - and I am a scientist who decided to dedicate her life to working on climate precisely because of how unjustly it disproportionately impacts the poor and vulnerable - let me clarify my rationale and thoughts below. 🧵

This book is so interesting! My two coworkers and I read it and were like, whatever, it’s pretty good. And have now proceeded to talk about it for days on end LOL It feels superficial and over the top but once you let that settle the underlying themes and connections are really thought provoking

Just to be clear: CGE, just because Devir has absolutely stepped in it doesn’t let you off the hook. We can walk and chew bubblegum, we can hold two game companies accountable for their poor choices.

E.P.A. Plans to Reconsider a Ban on Cancer-Causing Asbestos

Inasmuch as the Trump admin has any consistent tactical approach to policy, I think they just get up in the morning and say to themselves, what’s the most evil, destructive, and stupid thing I could do today? Then they do it. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/16/u...

If you're a fan of board games, and can swing it, now is a fantastic time to support your favorite indie board game publishers! So many folks are having to adjust business plans, downsize, lay off employees, and more. Please support as you can. <3 1/2

I took the cat to the vet this week, where they suggested he could lose some weight. My next dúo lesson taught me “mi gato es grande”. Weird!

Green Hornet/Black Fury #1 by @alexsegura.bsky.social @henrybarajas.bsky.social, Federico Sorressa and Lesley Atlansky is a very fun and engrossing first issue! I love the atmosphere the art creates and everyone is so gorgeous. The witty dialogue scenes are also well-crafted. Excited to follow this!
