Important new report on adult literacy & numeracy skills from the OECD.

- 18% of adults have low proficiency in literacy (would struggle to read longer texts)

- But young adults (16 to 24) are doing better than 2012.

Further evidence of England's improvement in maths today with the release of the TIMSS 2023 test which allows for comparisons across countries.

Particularly good news at year 9 (13 year olds) where we've seen a decent jump despite the pandemic (unlike other countries).

Expecting any social media platform to be representative of *the* electorate in general is deeply unrealistic. There are fundamental demographic differences between some platforms even before you get to ideology! Sorry, I am too old to go on TikTok. These are global platforms too...
