Trump: Never heard of the guy

Epic Incompetence
Competence: Listening to experts and making decisions based on their advice
Simple Incompetence: Letting experts make their own decisions
Arrogant Incompetence: Ignoring experts and making decisions based on whims
Defensive Incompetence: Expunging all expertize from the orgnaization
If the President pardons someone who had been convicted of a federal crime, that person has still been found guilty and still has a criminal record. Therefore, a pardon cannot be used to claim actual innocence or an improper investigation and conviction.
If a bank teller embezzles a ton of money and quits when they start investigating her, she can't say, "You can't investigate me because I don't work there now."
So why does Pam Bondi think she can get away with saying, "Congress can't investigate my wrongdoing because I don't work at the DOJ now"?
American billionaires buy estates in foreign countries because they expect to move there after they've plundered America and turned it into a shit-hole country. Their allegiance is to their money, not to their country. Letting them run wild outside the law is a mistake we will regret.
Oligarchs living in corrupt dictatorships like Russia deposited much of their wealth in America because their money was safer in a country with strong laws. When America becomes a corrupt dictatorship, where will American oligarchs keep their money?
Not here, that's for sure.
Why doesn't Trump talk about "draining the swamp" any more?
If you're going to insist that "they" is a singular pronoun denoting someone of unspecified gender, you have to use appropriate subject-verb agreement as in:
"he is here"
"she is here"
"they is here"
If you don't, if you say "they are here", you are making the pronoun plural.
Ns surprise that a Secretary of Defense who gets his Bible verses from "Pulp Fiction" gets his military strategies from "Catch-22".
When Trump heard "No Kings", he thought, "Yeah. They want me to be their God instead."
When Hegseth quoted the Bible, he forgot to look at it and see if the words were really there. For the Trump regime, opening a book is some kind of wizardry that's beyond their comprehension.
You know who is never going to forget about the Epstein files, no matter how many wars Trump starts?
Women who were raped by Epstein and his friends.
And anyone who has sympathy for those women.
And anyone who believes in justice for all.
The only reason Trump can say a picture of him as Jesus was really a picture of him as a doctor is because he really, truly thinks you are stupid enough to believe everything he says.
If Canada buying American F=35 fighters, Trump (or whoever succeeds him) will think he's got control over Canada's air power. True or not, if he believes it, he will be more likely to engage in a war with Canada.
It's not about technology, it's about the President's psychology.
Trump is promising pre-emptive pardons to everyone on his staff for any crimes they might commit on his instructions.
Remember the presidents who didn't have to do that? That would be every single American president before Trump.
My grade school teachers were not too proud to plagiarize Mark Twain.
My grade school teacher: It's better to remain silent and be thought stupid than to open your mouth and prove it.
Trump: I don't know what you mean.
Orban has accepted the results of the election in Hungary and conceded to Magyar, proving he's a better man than Trump.
Who would have guessed?
A lot of Americans, that's who.
In reasonable democracies, when the party in power fails the voters, they get wiped out. In Canada n 1993, the Progressive Conservatives held 156 seats before a federal election and only 2 after. Canadian voters recognized a bad government and destroyed it. Pity Americans can't do the same.
Don't tell me America was founded on Judeo-Christian values unless you can show where the Bible guarantees elected governments, freedom of speech, gun rights, due process, freedom from self-incrimination, abolishes cruel and unusual punishments, and everything else in the Constitution.
Trump is so eager to open the Strait of Hormuz, he's helping Iran block it
Trump is so eager to get the Iranian people on his side, he's dropping bombs on them
Trump is so eager to sigh a deal with Iran, he's sending rank amateurs with no diplomatic experience to negotiate
WTF?
Remember when we had a deal with Iran to limit their development of nuclear weapons?
Remember when Trump tore up the deal?
And now Trump is blocking oil shipments through Hormuz because he can't get Iran to trust him.
America is being led by a moron.
Prohibitions against lying, stealing, or killing isn't "Judeo-Christian morality". It's common sense decency found in every major religion.
Human rights are not a feature of any religion. They were developed during the European Enlightenment. That's the true foundation of Western governments.
The buck doesn't stop with the President or Congress or the Supreme Court. It stops with the voter. The people have all the power, but only if they're smart enough and care enough to use it.
The Titanic was big, but the sinking of the Wilhelim Gustoff killed six times as many people. But they were refugees during WWII, not rich people on vacation.
Nothing so grand. My local car dealership is using AI to schedule appointments. The LLM told me it had scheduled an appointment for me, than, when I showed up, the service agent had no record of it. The agent gave me his card and told me to forget the AI and call him personally next time.
It should be awful clear by now that a war anywhere in the Middle East ican lead to war everywhere in the Middle East.
We need to enforce peace across the entire region, beginning with Israel, which by its actions, is proving to be one of the most, if not the most, belligerent nations on Earth.
Trump: "We have a double-sided ceasefire with Iran"
Netanyahu (giggling): "We're the third side.":
Getting customer service from someone in a foreign country who couldn't communicate in English wasn't bad enough for some corporations. Now they're making me chat with a computer AI that tells me outright lies.
Fie on all of them!
