I thought about retiring this but it feels like it could be the beginning of an interesting year...

Friend: "I can't remember the last time a 24 hour period of gymnastics has given me so much whiplash."
Me: "You forgot when Gage was decertified?"
Her: "Fair. No one's ran off to France just yet"
Me: "It's all fun and games until someone ends up in rural France."
This is what I have on my schedule for gymnastics in the coming week.
The teams you think are liberal and have the right politics have people who are voting against your interests. The teams that you think are full of fascists have people who are in the process of growing and changing as is normal in college.
Yeah this was definitely perfect code for Heath to try it!
Yeah that's for what's called Hopes in the US. But this is a junior competition.
Jesolo has always had a bit of leeway for 13 year olds for whatever reason (I think something about their score not counting?) but 12 year olds have been turned away from Jesolo in the past.
Page 34 under Article 5.2 Age of Participants. Juniors must be 14, or turning 14 that year, to compete at any FIG sanctioned competition.
You do not need to educate me on ICE as an issue. I have been painfully aware of it since before most Americans gave it a second thought.
The FIG does not allow gymnasts as young as 12 to compete at their sanctioned meets. This is explicitly stated in their Technical Regulations.
These assignments were also given out before ICE was stationed at airports.
This is an assignment in Italy. The only thing to be realistically scared of is pickpockets.
Would you consider the USA sending a 12 year old on an assignment where her score can not count for anything "for international experience" financial mismanagement of their program budget?
The American Cup format is terrible. It feels like USAG has been annoyed that strategic mistakes lead to them doing worse at DTB Pokal and Swiss Cup in recent years and so they decided to try and remove that aspect. Heavily doubt this is anything like the olympic format.
GAGE teammates have confirmed the Crains moved to France a month ago. The rumor is Avoine but I have not seen that confirmed. I'm seeing a lot of people wishcasting a country change but I think people are better off not speculating until they say something.
.... how do you not know this is offensive. It's not the 1980s anymore.
"Western order"
You mean incorrect order
The chinese team didn’t come to play. Someone needs to correct the order of their names
I’m looking forward to see if Malone Brody or Richard Fred will be attending.
All names presented using eastern naming conventions
I've started adding domestic rhythmic scores from major RG countries to my score tracker. Here is my reasoning:
I think @USAGym needs to answer some questions about why someone under investigation by Safe Sport was a member of the International Elite Committee which was writing the rules and policies of the elite program.
This feels appropriate to reshare at the moment
This week we're looking at a how WOGA and GAGE stack up against one of their peers

Aaaand people have already decided that because these coaches are considered two of The Good Ones, sure they're not responsible for any injuries under their watch and this information is meaningless
This ended up being so, so much bigger than I thought 🫠

Thank you Rebeca Andrade for your services to history and sport.
And Skinner is claiming she "qualified" for the 2016 Olympic team and was "moved" to alternate. I hope USAG never honors her for anything in the future.
Me: "Skinner is claiming she was removed from the 2016 Olympic team because of DEI."
Friend: "If by DEI you mean 'can do bars'"
Me: "Bars, the true Woke Apparatus."
All Japan Team Championships, Chinese National Games (not including event finals), Bundesliga, Latvian WAG Championships all updated into the spreadsheet. Unsorted for the moment.
