I think the existence of “parents’ groups” is inherently problematic. It’s the kid‘s job to choose college surely?

Yes- probably in History dept not Gender Studies. She wasn’t well supported - many PhD students have this experience. Hers was especially poor and the live denunciation was cruel in its outcome.

I think she was doing it in the Gender Studies department rather than History.
