Someone informed me today that Sonic the Hedgehog is canonically homeless, which, to me, represents a catastrophic policy failure on the part of the Eggman Empire

Oh yeah that's real. I clearly remember it being explained to me that the shack he sleeps in is not Sonic's property, but more akin to a covered public bench on the sand.

Surprise! Greg and I are on Sonic Weekly this week!

Always happy to reminisce about Boom, though I am slightly troubled by how rapidly it's becoming 'Nostalgia'

Oh damn the Sonic Boom blu rays are cheap on Amazon again. Consider this your public service announcement

Sega was a wreck. The Boom branch was always meant to be three-pronged (show, games, merch). With one being such a dismal failure, it kind of ruined the whole thing.

On the other hand, us working on the show found it a bit amusing. Maybe smug that we were viewed as such a success in comparison.

The real collector’s item would be one someone actually bothered to play. Those are much rarer.

Came across this blast from the past when cleaning yesterday. Never been opened! (Which, to be fair, is how most people preferred to experience it.)

Hey, I remember this!

Yes it's imperitive that they delete as much content as possible forever. That's the only way to run a successful streaming service. The economics are undeniable.

You guys don't get it. They HAD to change from HBO to Max because they didn't want to devalue the HBO brand with all the Discovery garbage.

And now they HAVE to change from Max to HBO because the consumer is associating Max with garbage, and the HBO brand brings that cachet.

It's 4D chess, man.

The worst part of the animation implosion is seeing the most talented artists I know struggling to make ends meet.

If you're a fan of adult animation over the last 10yrs, chances are you've seen Karli's work. They've been dealt a really rough hand and could use a leg up. Please consider donating.

One time after a Boom session in 2015, I asked the always-awesome Roger Craig Smith if he’d record a quick message for my nephews to back up the lore that Uncle Alan hangs with Sonic the Hedgehog on the regular.

He did it without hesitation, and man, those kids lost their minds when they heard it.

I miss the days when an animated series would finally have their big budget theatrical movie adaptation and all they'd do is add shading

One thing that's kinda hard to explain about Los Angeles right now is the looming sense of dread we're all enduring as the fires slowly spread. Like, usually the black cloud hanging over LA is metaphorical?

To those checking in on me with the LA fires: I'm good. We're out here in North Hollywood, which is way outside of the evacuation zones. But it's been awful seeing so many friends uprooted and in some cases having their whole lives burned down.

The characters in CoComelon breathe helium.

JJ's mother is of the MacDonald family (as in "Old MacDonald had a farm").

Despite looking like babies and only having two teeth in their mouths, all the little kids are something like 3 years old.

You know, a lot of you who just follow me for Sonic stuff probably don't realize that from 2021 to 2023 I was the head writer for CoComelon.

Not a bit, I was writing dem songs for babies on YouTube for like 2 and half years there.

Yeah. (And I know they're not technically side scrollers but I think you get what I mean)

I find it hilarious how the first South Park video games were these horrible 3D open world monstrosities, and it took them like 15 years and three gaming generations before they made a 2D sidescroller that actually looked like their show.

10 Best Sonic the Hedgehog Levels We Could Play Over and Over Again Sonic the Hedgehog's 30+ year career has featured plenty of exciting hits to run through repeatedly.

"Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is perhaps the franchise's worst game, but it also spawned the series' best TV show."

Even after all these years, I never get tired of seeing quotes like that. Thanks CBR!

That one's on my list! I hear that's a great 'first game' in general

Hey I need a good video game I can play with my 3.5-year-old. Like, remember how with the Wii you could use the second controller to collect Star Bits in Super Mario Galaxy? Do they still do stuff like that in games anymore? (On Switch and PS4 specifically?)

Great idea! I got him a 2TB external hard drive I've been eyeing up
