Governor Abbott has decided that Texas needs proof of citizenship to register to vote. Texas Republicans have been in power for 30 years. So for 30 years they have cheated to win? They’ve allowed immigrants to illegally vote? That’s what Gov. Hotwheels is telling us.
We use it to purchase firearms and no need for birth certificate or SS to prove we are a citizen. Voting and gun ownership are both guaranteed in the Constitution.
The DPS allows me to get a driver’s license at 16. I have to bring my birth certificate and SS card once unless I change my name for some reason. Every 8 years I renew it with just my current DL. No birth certificate or SS card needed for renewal. Why can’t we use our Real ID to register and vote?

People use their Real ID to purchase firearms. The firearm dealers do a back ground check to prove citizenship and to make sure you’re eligible to purchase a firearm. Why can’t buyer registration be the same? What make it harder for people to vote than it is to purchase a firearm?
