Update:
My time here continues to be sporadic. Mom has moved further into her transition. My focus at the moment is time with her as I take this last journey with her. We do not know how slow or quick this decline will continue to be

Update: mom’s blood pressure became uncontrolled so the critical care hospital did take her last night . Today she will get some of the tests finally that could not be done at our small hospital. We do know the stroke presented as rather large in the MRI.

Update: critical care hospital has now said they won’t take her after keeping us in the ER over 24 hours. So our rural hospital is scrambling and they will keep her here a few days

Update: we are still waiting for an icu bed. She is receiving care in the emergency room yet. We are unsure the extent of the strokes.
This makes my soul weary and my heart hurt. Whomever or what ever you believe in think something good for my mom.

Still waiting ( since 5 am) for an icu bed to open at a hospital 1.5 hours away. The hospital here in town and the next town over are not equipped for mom’s “ complex” case. She has had a series of strokes.
Our healthcare system is fundamentally broken.

Will be back on in a couple of days 💋 navigating moms health issues and the holidays
