I've been using @cachyos.org for few months now on my old Mac Mini 2014 and it works great as PC in living room for browsing Internet, watching videos, playing games from Steam
After using elementary OS for some time, I've eventually switched to CachyOS (cachyos.org).
Reasons:
1. No support for 3rd part icons in system tray.
2. Choppy sound over HDMI connected to TV.
Furthemore, CachyOS actually runs faster than macOS, which I had previously on this Mac Mini.
