Unexpectedly gonna be a busy week since I haven't touched any of the SRW Y DLC yet. Granblue Relink open beta this weekend too. Vampire Crawlers tomorrow as well. Still working my way through Pragmata.

Trailer for the Super Robot Wars Y Expansion Pack is up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xDT...
While I'm not the most jazzed that Xenoglossia & Star Driver got their console SRW debuts through a rather... small expansion pack, I'm hoping that they eventually become main series of a future installment now that they have some models done. Of course, hopes of a new SRW OG game remains a dream.
Other new playable units:
- Tauburn (movie version)
- Nirvash type ZERO (Hi-Evolution version)
Screenshots of the following playable units coming to SRW Y from those series:
- Ideon
- Hi-Nu Gundam & Nightingale
- Prometheus–1 Imber piloted by Haruka Amami
- Villkiss
Super Robot Wars Y is getting an Expansion Pack that's coming out on April 22 adding the following series:
- Space Runaway Ideon
- Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children
- Idolm@ster Xenoglossia
- Star Driver the Movie
- Cross Ange
- Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution
Nippon Sangoku is quickly becoming my favorite show this season.
Agents of Four Seasons fucked up. They introduced the two best characters within its first four episodes & I have very little faith that anyone else moving forward will be able to top the megane twins.
Pragmata is finally the game that has made me go duct tape the light over my Dualshock 4 because playing the PC version with it turns the light into bright white, so it can be easily seen on the screen while playing.

The open beta test will be showcasing Endless Ragnarok's new Summons feature. Like the previous closed beta for Endless Ragnarok, the only new playable character will still only be Beatrix.
Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok will be having an open beta test next weekend starting on April 24 to April 27 on PS5, PS4, Switch 2, and PC. relink-ragnarok.granbluefantasy.com/en/obt/

Oh no, don't inflict me with this. The Gnosia pop-up store event with Cocollabo is too powerful. It's probably good that I have no easy way to get stuff for this because I would have spent A Lot for every piece of Yuriko merch in it.

Here's an article that delves more into the purpose of the crowdfunding. On top of improving the quality of the JP localization, they also want to implement stuff like animated cutscenes, facial expressions, mini-episode epilogues, etc. that's all voice acted. automaton-media.com/articles/new...
Apparently there is a larger 'Staffer' series that Staffer Retro is a part of - not entirely sure if Retro is standalone or not, but it seems like it. The previous games are:
- Staffer Case (store.steampowered.com/app/2128480/...)
- Staffer Reborn (store.steampowered.com/app/2658920/...)
Interesting additional notes on Staffer Retro.
1) Also coming to Switch & will be released simultaneously with its PC version. Planned to include full voice acting.
2) Additional crowdfunding in Japan & Korean platforms to improve localization quality & more. store.steampowered.com/news/app/383...
Another upcoming Steam game added to my wishlist - Staffer Retro: A Supernatural Mystery Quest. A mystery adventure game that involves a detective tackling cases involving supernatural elements. store.steampowered.com/app/3837350/...
Been feeling down & off for several personal real-life reasons lately, but replaying Ace Combat 4 & cooking pancakes this morning has been helping a lot.
Sharing yet another interesting upcoming game I found on Steam - BitterSweet: Detectives' Tea Party. It's a mystery visual novel set in 19th century Europe where you play as a female detective named Elaine solving cases & has a pretty neat art style. store.steampowered.com/app/2453780/...
Unfortunately we have to push back the release date of Mahou Arms by three months, from April 27th to July 27th. The game is 99.9% done and we are extremely pleased with the progress that has been made lately. Finally being able to play the game from start to end is very satisfying and fun, but it has made it obvious where the game still has room to improve. To release the game now would be putting out a "good" game, but there are so many small things that could be improved in three months to turn it from "good" to "great". To not put in the extra time it deserves would be a disservice to all the hard work that got us here. For example, we implemented a leveling and skill points progression system. Your character now becomes stronger as you play and unlock new abilities. It's surprising how good it feels to get rewarded as you gain experience, but it's also skewed the balance of the game. The early game is now too hard (since you begin the game weaker) and certain enemies feel unbalanced depending on when they show up. Rebalancing the game will take some time. There are also a number of uncommon, but game-breaking bugs that need fixing. They don't happen all the time, but in a single-player game a bug that blocks your progress can easily ruin the experience. We want to make sure these are all fixed before release. Unfortunately, fixing these bugs has been more time-consuming than expected and there are still more to deal with. There are also parts of 1.0 that we considered optional at the time of our release date announcement, but now consider important enough to wait for, like voice acting, extra cutscenes, and more enemies. We also have something special in the works that needs a little more time. It's not gameplay related, but it's something fun that we're really hoping to share before the game comes out. We know this announcement is disappointing and that some of you may have made plans to enjoy the game around the original release date.
Mahou Arms has delayed its 1.0 release to July 27. It was originally scheduled to release on April 27. store.steampowered.com/news/app/116...
Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk had a very impressive premiere today & definitely one of the best openings this season. Glad that Studio Soigne seems to have struck gold again; I really liked their previous show Mono. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUU_...
Wrote about Souta Ueno as one of the most radical new voices in anime, and how despite his extreme idiosyncrasy, he engages very humbly with source material. In Shiboyugi, he commits to the subjective experience of one disenfranchised girl and her demented world blog.sakugabooru.com/2026/04/10/s...
