This is a really good point, hadn't occurred to me that of course if the transaction charges are fixed then they are regressive against cheaper seats!

I've never understood transaction fees. Just feel so anti-customer in a sector all about customer experience. Surely better for audiences to just have a one ticket price that includes everything!
I'm glad regs mean fees must now be declared up front, but x + y prices still look wrong to me.
Oh gosh, this sounds horrendous, hang in there! We're just starting an internal complaint with our housing association and really hope they pull their finger out it doesn't come to this. But why does everything with housing have to be so bloody difficult!
This makes me angry on so many levels!
First, when has Pixar ever shied away from emotive subjects before?
Second, blaming it on kids is rubbish. This is about saving homophobic parents.
I can't watch Elio after this. I'd just spend the whole movie thinking what it could've been.

Show artwork: white mouthguard on light blue background scribbled with the word Leglock.
I think Leglock at Greenside George St has to be my #edfringe fave.
Didn't expect a cage fighting play to capture my heart! Launching with incredible energy & humour we watch James' true feelings on his career slowly unwind.
2 shows left, 5.20pm www.edfringe.com/tickets/what...
Show artwork: the back of a man's head surrounded by floating photographs of memories with the title Sense: A Musical about Dementia
Lovely end to last night with Sense, a musical about dementia.
Beautifully poetic, with rich characters whose stories unwind over the course of the hour, things unsaid slowly revealed.
Until Fri 22 Aug @ 11pm #edfringe

Outdoor poster for The Nature of Forgetting. Red billboard with an image of a girl perched on the handlebars of an old bicycle while one boy cycles at speed and another boy sits backwards in the saddle. The poster is covered in 5 star ratings.
I'm prioritising new shows this #edfringe, but lovely to see The Nature of Forgetting is back!
Had to be one of my top 3 shows from 2017. Stunningly beautiful physical theatre about early onset dementia with a gorgeous score underpinning the story.
An absolute must if you haven't seen it before!
Especially on the #edfringe website as people look at these when considering buying tickets. A couple positive reviews on there can make all the difference!
Interesting article from Lyn Gardner on small #edfringe theatre audiences. Seems the issue could be taking a risk on the unknown.
But I think there's a solution. As theatregoers if we see something brilliant we need to shout about it. So get posting your recs!

Show artwork - Round speech bubble on orange background contains the title I'm Autistic. A subtitle underneath says A New Musical
A truly heartwarming 1st #edfringe show for me seeing new musical 'I'm Autistic'.
Interwoven stories show the complexity of the autistic experience through 3 focal characters, sweet songs and tight vocal harmonies. Beautiful and touching.
Until Sat 23 Aug @ 15:20

I will forever remember seeing this at the @painesplough.bsky.social Roundabout in Edinburgh, such a beautiful and life affirming show!
Vile + abhorrent to hear Josh Howie suggest a link between the LGBTQ+ community and child sexual abuse.
This cannot go unchallenged! Please add your name to the Good Law Project complaint to Ofcom.
This is really good news! Hats off to Thomas Hopkins for generously funding new seats for Kings Head Theatre ❤️
If you're a UK artist thinking of taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe this year, defo take a look at the Keep It Fringe funding scheme where you could get £2,500 towards your costs!

Excellent article by the most excellent @owencl.bsky.social. How refreshing to see a theatre genuinely engaging with this issue and their local community in a meaningful way!

Wow, love love LOVE the artwork for the new Little Women tour ❤️
If anyone knows you made the design I'd love to know!
This is a wonderful idea to help more schools bring their pupils to the theatre!
The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton has launched a new initiative to subsidise travel for school trips.
This is wonderful news and I for one am very excited to see what the new National Theatre Wales produces!
Absolutely loved seeing the #NTLive stream of Michael Sheen in Nye recently, hopefully more like that to come ☺️

Happy New Year!
Thought I would share this beautiful white winter's day up in Edinburgh where I'm visiting my folks.
A perfect morning to round off the festive period before heading back to London!
Hi Nicky, I work on plays too and currently seeking funding for a play about Tinnitus (see jackdryden.uk/divine).
I am a part time producer though so limited in how many projects I can take, and to be very honest pretty much at that limit for the next little while. But always happy to offer advice.
Thanks Howard, this is a great list, trying to find all the theatre people I can!
Hi Bobby, thanks for making this, could you add me? ☺️
Hey Robbie, thanks for making this! I'm a theatre producer and would love to be added ☺️
Hi Rebecca, please could you add me? Thanks for making this!
Great to see you on here Daniel, I'm a big fan of legal hour but hadn't realised you were in the theatre world too!
Absolutely love this choice, it's genius! And it just feels so natural and right.
Yes I know what you mean, subtitle boxes above/around take you out of the moment. I've had the same feeling with foreign language shows.
Oh you've got to love Avenue Q! I've got fond memories of the student production I worked on back at University - we had such a ball!
