A stylized painting of Bakool Ja Ja being surrounded by mamool ja children. They are all walking through a golden field, where blue flowers pepper their path. In Bakool Ja Ja's shadow is an abstract impression of the Skydeep Cenote and the sunken urns belonging to Mamook. In one of the hands of the mamool ja children, is a mutated flower.

Ngl I like the rough sketch a little bit more, but thats probably due to my inexperience at colouring and doing line art. #Shenpaint

I know I post one in a blue moon, but I was struck by sudden desire to draw a twink to breakout of an art block. Went well I think, still need to finish it properly though #Shenpaint

I don't remember what video it was in perticular, but I think it was one of Vuls Vods where I saw a comment that went along the lines of "I like the fox girl but I can't watch Shen since the last time I tuned it since she was spouting some extremist political bs" and I just sat there like ????

Circular flowchart. “Too anxious to start on anything” leads into “stressed about not getting anything done,” then back to “too anxious to start on anything”—creating an endless loop.

It's exhausting, it's like if something doesn't fit their EXACT criteria and isn't a 10/10 is just terrible garbage to those types of people. Which often causes them to open the flood gates of endless yapping at no one in perticular. It's not illegal to have fun people.

Many artists fall into the trap of creative laziness.

What can be considered creative laziness?

- You spend too much time in your own head which ends up stunting or paralyzing your aspirations.
- You gather an unecessarily large amount of research without applying most of it.
- You admire other artists or artwork you perceive as successful without internalizing how it got created and how your work can benefit similarly.
- You feel like there's some hidden secret or tool that you just need to find for that immediate improvement.
- You get stuck in an artistic comfort zone and are afraid to try new techniques or subject matters.
-You are blocked due to a disatisfaction in your skill level versus the perceived standard you are striving for.

Learn to build a habit of action. Put yourself creatively out there and be brave enough to try and fail. You will soon realize that every small win will bring you closer to your goal. Aim to work intelligently and learn to analyze yourself and the world around you. Most importantly learn to love yourself, let yourself be vulnerable, try new techniques, explore your passions, forgive your failures and find joy in the artistic process without being overly concerned with needing a perfect end result.

A piece of advice for the artists out there that might be feeling frustrated, stuck in a rut or creatively blocked.
