The Province Says Fort Chipewyan’s Children Are Healthy. Come Meet Them. Alberta withheld the data. Then used its absence as proof there was no crisis. The families living inside that crisis are speaking out- for the first time, publicly.

mRNA vaccines continue to show major promise.

In a small Phase 1 trial led by Dr. Balachandran, some patients with pancreatic cancer (one of the deadliest cancers) reached 6-year survival.

This is why sustained investment in science & research matters.

2/2 Clearly Premier Smith hasn't worked in healthcare & performed assessments of function saying it should always be easy to tell whether or not someone's disability allows them to work. When "not obvious to all (including physicians)" an Occupational Therapist should decide. #Disabled #AISH #AbLeg

1/2 Some people's ability to work is dependent on whether or not a workplace will make certain accommodations; and that isn't a stable situation until the majority of the Alberta MLAs vote to have Accessibility Legislation. #AISH #Disabled #AbLeg

There are probably more "invisible"disabilities than visible ones that impede someone's ability to work. Conditions I can think of among my own acquaintance: long COVID, brain injury, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, epilepsy, severe mental illness.

PS. If you don't feel included, your experience is valid and you're still seen by others, but this below is a great example of an inclusive act!

Interesting, especially since a US physical therapist specializing in exercise for people with Parkinson's disease said that when people with early onset Parkinson's ride on the back of a Tandem bike with a smooth riding at the front it helps slow the progression.of the disease.

I live in the downtown core — the loss of the YMCA, the downtown police precinct, elimination of programs for the folks in my neighbourhood, defunding programs for the unhoused — hell, the city tried to shut down my fire hall. livewirecalgary.com/2020/11/19/c...

You can contribute to 2 different parties & candidates but are capped at a total max of $5,000 a year between them. So he's asking people to donate to a campaign on a referendum vote instead of to parties running a strong campaign and fielding a full slate of candidates and the candidate campaigns.

$5,000 early spending limit spread between parties, constituency associations and candidates. Many Albertans still need to donate $$ & volunteer time to those to make sure that the UCP don't win the 2027 election.
