Being on a crusade against something disgusting *feels good* when you don’t know how to feel agency elsewhere in your life or don’t feel like you have options to do good things in real space. It’s a cheap way to cut to the feeling of doing something good without the work of doing something good.

Yeah pretty much. I feel like it’s also a matter of feeling “in control” of something and like you did some good. Because the hate is contained to things where you can feel in control by harassing someone to the point they get upset, or hurt, or block you, and feel like you did something good.

“Drink water and breathe air” is so real. Like, children, cmon, you can’t be like “all cops are bad” then turn around like “I’m gonna police everybody myself through harassment”.
