I guess I should probably say that the third book in my Magical Girl Undergrad series came out a few days ago, since people seem to push their publications here. If you're interested, here's a link! This is NOT the self-pub project I'm working on, but it's still cool!

The first book of Demonic Magician is up for preorder and releasing next week! Burnt out magician Max faces his most critical audience yet as he is transported to a fantasy world where suspending belief is the least of his worries.

Hey man sorry to hear about all your political turmoil. Would it help if I scrolled around on the computer all day and drove myself insane?
Cover for the Midnight Accords. For this one, I asked Antti to break the perspective with the tentacles. So if they feel weird it's by design.
A cat holds a mechanical pencil between its paw, sitting on a pile of fraction worksheets. It looks super focused, like it’s really trying to finish the paperwork. This cat is clearly focused on his studies

An animated suit of armor holding his lizardkin boyfriend next to a campfire. They're looking lovingly into each other's eyes.
@conopskeleton.bsky.social did some wonderful art for me a while back for Derivan & Vex from Edge Cases. Look at 'em! They're a delight~
u should have taken all of it to protect the child from tooth decay.
New book done! 144,500 words (roughly 525 pages).
Onto the next one!
I've been in a self imposed exile for a while to focus on meeting a deadline, but it didn't help much. There are always distractions and excuses to be made. Ended up sitting somewhere quiet on my scriv-only laptop to get things done. Almost out of the woods.
Look, I know everyone wants to believe the healthcare dude eating a bullet is due to someone getting wrongfully denied and then getting righteous vengeance, but it’s probably going to be something stupid like “was beefing over LinkedIn with a rival CEO on whose cybertruck was cooler”
K.T. Hanna @kthanna.bsky.social is one of my favorite authors, and the Library Reset series doesn't disappoint.
A book lovers dream series. I highly recommend it.
I'm an audiobook lover, and Andrea Parsneau is always top tier.

When I started writing, I had an all-or-nothing mentality; I just needed one series to take off.
But what's really happened is I've learned more with each book, growing my writing ability & my understanding of the market. With each book, I'm more successful; the hard work does pay off.

Had a good second stream on Twitch today, got 4.5k words in. If anyone wants to cowork or hang and chat I'm going to try to do roughly 10am to 2pm gmt most weekdays.
"My mommie protects me because she loves me."
writing tip: if your writing tip makes an absolute claim its probably a bad writing tip
what you write is an intersection of your intended experience with your intended audience. very few absolute approaches can cover this nuance beyond highly abstracted ideas like promise/payoff or "write words"
me, waking up sore and tired:
“hmm, wonder if I have bird flu”
me, remembering I played three consecutive indoor soccer games the day before:
“…definitely bird flu. probably weasel flu too”
The worst part of serialization is dropping hints for a twist that will happen later, and when the readers catch some of the inconsistencies, they assume they are mistakes rather than breadcrumbs intentionally left for them. You can't even tell them what's actually going on or you'll spoil it!
Thanksgiving was a bit of a whirlwind with a lot of news I'm still trying to process.
It's nice to come and scroll on bluesky
Feels like hope and ever so slightly less like the world is about to drop out from under me
Love JoJo's, Araki writes a bit about his approach to narrative in theory and practice, great read.
