For me it’s your #1
2. My analysis, expressed by me, is how I add value. I don’t monetize it directly, but that writing leads to engagements that I do monetize.
3. If all writing is AI statistically average slop, then there’s too much, so you need AI to read & summarize it, and we have a slop loop.

I bought more storage for my Switch 2 anyway. $40 for 256GB branded Samsung seemed pretty reasonable and is only going to rise.
My latest Techsponential report covers the FCC ban on future home routers manufactured outside the U.S.: security rationale, policy implementation, and industry impact. www.techsponential.com/reports/fccr...
Ah. Not a Samsung product, a made-for-Samsung product.
Do you mean the DeX Station? It's not a laptop, it's a pop-up dock for the Samsung phone and then you plug into a monitor. I know I tested a Moto dumb laptop/phone combo, I still have the ASUS version of this in my collection, and Palm famously cancelled its version. Not sure on Samsung.
New review of Cleer ARC 4+ published over at Devices View. These are the best nearbuds (a term I just invented for earbuds that don't go into your ear canal) I have ever tested. No noise isolation, but great comfort and audio quality, including actual bass. devicesview.com/cleer-arc-4-...
Other recent reports: Apple launched an updated iPad Air with new silicon, and it's great, but it leaves a hole in the market for a mid-priced premium tablet targeting the things that mainstream tablet users do, i.e., content consumption. www.techsponential.com/reports/ipad...
Other recent reports: Qualcomm launched a new, highly capable chipset at MWC for wearable AI, and my report outlines the steps product vendors need to take for this to become a category. Hint: you can't allow your AI pendant to take pics in a bathroom. www.techsponential.com/reports/mwc2...
Summary 2/2: Apple has reset the bar for how nice a budget laptop needs to be. Competitors may find it hard to respond in the current memory environment, but they will have to or they will cede more profitable segments of the market to Apple in the future.
Summary 1/2: the MacBook Neo is a good small laptop for general purpose computing, and an astonishing value. A MacBook that runs MacOS and MacOS apps at $599 is disruptive, finally hitting the price points that drive the volume segment of Windows PCs.
My MacBook Neo report is now up at Techsponential. This took a bit longer to finish because I wanted to ensure I understood its capabilities before diving into how it disrupts the PC industry, and how competitors should respond. www.techsponential.com/reports/macb...
Oh, right. #GalaxyUnpacked embargo is up, as is my report over at Techsponential: www.techsponential.com/reports/gala...
Flight to CDG I was watching did eventually take off but the return leg has been cancelled, as has my flight to SFO. We’ll see if I can get to SFO on Tuesday (in time for Unpacked on Wednesday) or if I head straight to Barcelona Thursday night. #blizzard
The flight out of EWR to CDG is leaving on time + deicing — so there’s a chance (!) it returns to EWR tomorrow when the blizzard is ending and I can take that plane to SFO for Samsung before two redeyes back to EWR and on to BCN for MWC and the stress is making my brain hurt

Ugh. I mostly gave up collecting. This is the way.
T-Mobile is building AI into its 5G Advanced network -- as long as one end of the conversation is on T-Mobile, you'll have live simultaneous translation in up to 50 languages. I wrote about it and T-Mobile's updated guidance for Techsponential:

This was a simple Devices View post but I kept adding industry and branding context and it turned into a short Techsponential report. Anker has a smart 45W charger with 180-degree folding plugs, a display, and an animated interface. For $40. www.techsponential.com/reports/anke...
New on Devices View: Lock Your Wallets, Samsung's Galaxy Z TriFold is Coming to the U.S. (I’m keeping a close eye on my credit card so that it doesn’t accidentally order a Galaxy Z TriFold by accident, as credit cards are known to accidentally do.) devicesview.com/lock-your-wa...
Same but here we are.
All my wife’s efforts with the snowblower yesterday were undone by the plow. I can’t help because of a back issue. Joy.
Mine is doing it now at 1 AM.
After a disastrous rebrand effort last year, at #CES2026 Dell promised to refocus on consumer and SMB. Dell has a lot of ground to make up, but it is saying the right things -- and launching the right things. My Techsponential report:
