I really like the contrast between Swerve and Prince Nana. The combo of a serious, intimidating wrestler with a silly dance shouldn't work, but it's one of my favourite entrances. University's gone back, so this will be the last of these I do for a while. #AEW #pixelart

For example, I'm currently trying out different engines to make a visual novel. I have a short section - a couple lines of dialogue, some choices and sprites- I'm adapting in each engine to see if it can do what I want it to do and how it varies between platforms.

Both look great! I think the best way to decide would be to think about what would most suit the sort of game you want to make. Maybe make a small scene in both styles and compare them?

I tend to alternate between thinking I'm the best artist ever and the worst. Just part of the creative process I guess!

My PhD has officially begun aaaaa! I won't be doing as much pixel art as I have over the break, but I will keep working on my art skills. I have one big piece of fan art to finish, and then focus will shift to game assets for my PhD project. Exciting times!

Here's a late one for the 4 colour #flowerbed prompt. This was tricky! I'm used to using a much larger pallette. The final result isn't much like the succulent from the garden, but it is identifiably a plant at least! I left the background transparent for extra contrast. #pixelart #pixel_dailies

I'm loving it! The inverted look is still annoying, but at least I'm in practice from Oot. Such great atmosphere, and I love the dungeon design. University goes back soon, so it's been good to curl up with an old favourite before I'm too busy to play much :)
