One of the oldest surviving residential structures I’ve seen in Garfield Park, likely built 1870s or earlier: a vernacular wood frame worker’s cottage with central door placement, clapboard, below grade foundation. Sold for $40,000 to Illinois Land Investment Inc. in 2022.
