Thank you! I wish the specification was more clear when there are differences like this! I know they've changed it recently so they actually use the notation everyone else does, but I still have doubts about what is/isn't examined. I don't want any surprises!

Anyone experienced in current OCR GCSE maths? Iteration. Don't need to rearrange equations to make an iterative formula. Do have to use sign change/trial and error methods to find solutions. Do need to understand iterative notation. Don't need to solve using an iterative formula? Is that right?

I got the fodder and indicators because I just couldn't be bothered to work out what was what tonight, and even then it took me a while to follow the instructions. Very nice clue though.

There was so much hope. So much. I've not got any left now and the Greens have my vote.

Thank you - these are great. I just wish there was a student friendly ppt for the 85GTCW with example GCSE questions so both teacher and student could follow the steps together. Fancy making one?! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I rarely teach it as I want students to learn how to do it without a calculator, and show their working.
I also think there is major regulation needed in this area. But until that happens, it's getting to a point where it's silly not to use these features.

Does anyone know of a student friendly resource that goes through how to use a Casio calculator (83 or 85 or possibly 991?)
Not just the basics - I mean the table and ratio tools, prime factor decomposition, using the hours/minutes/seconds button. Solving equations. You know, the sneakier stuff.

So the Epstein scandal is about politics? Silly me for thinking it’s about the mass abuse of women and girls | Marina Hyde Obsessing over individual players and political chaos leaves less time to focus on the misogyny. And that’s for the best, isn’t it guys, says Guardian columnist Marina Hyde
