So happy for Team Venezuela. Maybe my favorite thing about baseball is its capacity for joy. Seeing that pure joy from this team all tournament has been so wonderful!

I know it’s easy to talk about the shortcomings of modern baseball. But it’s nothing short of a miracle that the WBC exists. We are so lucky to be experiencing this as baseball fans.
I don’t think we as a society are deserving of the Atlantic 10
Currently enjoying The Jacob Dar Game
Baseball is so much better with people dancing and singing and banging on drums throughout the whole game. A better world is possible.
Here's how Puerto Rico's walk-off sounded on Puerto Rican TV (WAPA Deportes)!
Want to see a 534-foot home run?
In honor of Yoelkis Guibert's home run for Cuba at the WBC yesterday, here's his tape-measure shot from last year's Baseball Champions League.

I think my favorite thing about being human is our ability to create meaning in this world.
People sometimes talk down on sports for being ‘meaningless.’ To me, that’s the point.
20,000 people in San Juan decided to lose their minds because of a baseball game. That’s what humans do. Beautiful.
Television broadcasting is a team sport, and for those of us who have been lucky enough to be a part of it, it’s so gratifying to watch a team come together.
Outstanding presentation on this play. Tyler Maun with an on-point call, then lays out. Steadycam op gets the shot locked in right away, Director makes the great decision to stick with it for the full trip around the basepaths. TV crew meeting the moment. It’s a beautiful thing!
One of the things I love most about baseball is how it prioritizes joy. Love this game so much.
Dear god in heaven

Champions will be crowned today! Will John Shuster etch his name on the trophy for the 11th time? Can Andrew Stopera lead his team to back-to-back titles, this time as skip? And will Elizabeth Cousins or Delaney Strouse claim their first national title? On the call for the men’s game, can’t wait!
