When all the exercises I do in physical therapy for my back are yoga and pilates moves... like, ok Universe, I'll go back to practicing yoga and pilates... Geez... message received.

At physical therapy listening to a man-child simultaneously claim to be a huge Star Wars fan and bash all things Star Wars... and Marvel... all the guys are being nerd-bros... meanwhile I'm getting stim on my back and judging them hard.

I know some may think I'm being rude by not participating, but I have a huge family. Someone is always getting married or pregnant. I think it's rude to force me to engage.

It takes so much energy from me to pick out a comfortable outfit, comfortable shoes, to put makeup on, just to go to an event with people I don't care to engage with. I'm only now realizing at 46 that I have always hated these events.

I'm done sacrificing my mental peace just to appease some imagined familial obligation. If I don't have a relationship with you, if I don't speak with you, if I have nothing in common with you beyond blood relation, I'm not coming to life events.

Starting to price out flights/hotel for NYCC 2025... I've always flown in to JFK, but I'm thinking I might try LaGuardia this year... anybody flown into LaGuardia?

My chosen family "trumps" my actual relatives every day.

Some guy left a bunch of D&D stuff and some Dragon Ball Z DVDs at the mat... I found him on the cameras, but he's long gone... if he doesn't come back for it today, it's free to a good home.

Last Saturday, I went to dinner with my sister, niece, and nephew and the subject of how long my hair used to be came up... he starts looking at my actual hair and points at one strand and goes, "aw, look at the little light colored one"... it's my gray hair... he was talking about my gray hair...

One of my favorite past times is judging people who voted for tRump and then say they love the girls and the gays... like, you are actively voting against the girls and the gays...

I typically say either Everlong or Wonderwall are my all time favorite songs... and they are definitely up there for me... but if I'm being honest...

I think she hated having other cats in the house so much that she was making herself sick... kinda like Jay did when we tried to get him to eat broccoli... this baby has been having a tantrum for nearly 20 years because I dared to bring home other cats.

now, putting together this new information with some old information, Layla gets so upset in car rides, she makes herself throw up... I literally have to give her anti-nausea meds hours before we go to the vet... so, all this means that I don't think she actually has tummy issues...

I didn't really think I would learn anything new about my 20-yr old cat, Layla, but I have... she's always been one of my cats that had tummy issues... she was a puker... but ever since Marley died 2 months ago, she hasn't puked once...
