Hugely recommend the tree books by Julian Hight (Bugsy). All available - some signed - at Hunting Raven.

We were there on Thurs. Gorgeous day, big Thai lunch, absolutely drenched by the sea. Glorious!

You know, you’re the second Swedish person to suggest it. It’s genius! I’m definitely going to try it! I love blue cheese with sweet biscuits, and I always make membrillo to eat with cheese. Makes perfect sense.

Nyåker’s Pepparkakor - the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth Swedish ginger biscuits. Absolutely perfect with a cup of tea, an espresso or even - as we found out last night - as a scoop for ice cream. The lovely tin is a bonus too.

I usually love it but have yet even to look. I keep meaning to…

Word of the day is a favourite, from old Scots.

To ‘tartle’ is to hesitate while introducing someone because you have completely forgotten their name.

@alecgriffiths.bsky.social always had the intention of a weekly ride to explore every inch. Turns out that cycle-commuting to Cadence and back combined with an enormously energetic 8yr old is quite tiring... who knew? Luckily I am pretty dedicated to researching local cafes on his behalf.

Hello! Such lovely coffee companions.

Oh, if only. My walking is pretty difficult now, but we could meet at the Saturday market if you fancy? We usually get a cab there & back to stock up on bread & cheese (OK, and other lovely things!). If you can handle extreme clutter & untidiness, you could pop in here.

Market day in #Frome - Isa’s patient haulage is rewarded with a sausage sarnie from Parson’s Nose, and our bags are filled with luscious bread, thoroughly outrageous Snowdonia Cheese from Gouda Karma and a tub of olives. The bread alone feels life-giving, we are so lucky to have the Rye Bakery.

Hello ✨✨

How exciting - I haven’t actually figured out starter packs yet, but please do add me. I’ll pick it up as I go along… xx

Careful, measured pace + easy stages to make lanterns for this year’s Frome lantern parade. Post-op I’ll participate again in active family life, but for now stuff like this is still brings so much joy. Beloved Alec too - the strongest, funniest, loveliest, sexiest and most splendid man. 💛

So, here we are then. It feels like the time for an important and meaningful first post… Instead here is some green slurry en route to becoming rich + indulgent white chocolate + pistachio truffle.
