A large bouquet of pink and yellow roses in a vase. A little sprig of coral and white azalea and sage and dusty miller thrown in for extra texture and interest.

All the rain this weekend really weighed down my rose bushes so I did a little trim… and a bouquet magically appeared 🩷🌷🌸

A ginormous pink rose bush, flowers heavy with rain, in the background of my garden. A pop of purple clematis on the right. Coral and white striped azaleas in the foreground on the left, surrounded by rock edging. Between the rose and azaleas is a peony bush, loaded up with round buds and ready to bloom any day now.
You can see the grass around the beds is of high quality and well maintained… just kidding! I’m a hippy garden girl, that’s all bee food 😁🐝

April showers on my roses. Love how they look all droopy 🩷

All the Colors of the Dark was my favorite this month, the audiobook was fantastic and, yes, I listened to it twice.

Cream colored daffodils with a bright yellow center take up most of the frame. A red bird feeder in the background. A lantern leans in from the left side. Lime green Creeping Jenny in the foreground.

You are looking at Smaug, the greatest dragon ever. In this illustration, from the book “The Hobbit” by Tolkien, the glorious Smaug is rearing back and blasting fire from his mouth. He is green with a yellow underside. His mouth is open showing his white fangs. He is VERY unhappy. There is probably a hobbit running for his life somewhere. This illustrated book is from 1977, the illustrations are from the animated movie “The Hobbit” from the same year. How many times can one say a variation of “illustration” in one paragraph? Four, apparently.

BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!! I had this book as a kid and then MY kids left it outside in the rain. It broke my heart and I looked for a replacement for years. Then forgot about it. *Enter best hubby ever*
Hubby got me a replacement 🩷

Stopped by my library yesterday to pick up a few new reads and return last week’s. They were helping a group of elderly people get library cards and set up Libby. Made me smile 💜

Alphabetically by author, fiction and non-fic separate. We have an entire room of bookcases and need a second, we’d never find anything if it wasn’t organized.

A fluffy American robin, with it’s orange breast and black top, sits on a snowy window sill at the bottom of the frame. Behind him is a holly bush with bright red berries. He and his friends, of which you can see parts of in the bush, decimated those berries. So. Many. Robins. Maybe 100 in the yard. Only one full one in this picture though, and he’s looking at me like ‘let me in lady, it looks warm in there’. Or maybe he’s just just full.

Fantastic!! I was hoping you’d post more of the bluebirds. Here’s a fluffy American Robin for you. Taken by me from the warm side of the window. The Robin is happy, it just ate a bunch of holly berries.

Definitely plan to read it but, like some others, I needed a little break in between.

What?! How?!!! 64 in one month?! That’s insane. I do audiobooks at work and read at night and managed 20 last month. You need an award for that.
