2026: Reform UK's party political broadcast on the BBC, Nigel Farage, "Whilst no one can wave a magic wand I'm proud of our record"

2016: Nigel Farage on Brexit, "The worst case scenario, economically, is better than where we are today"

A small point from the Mandelson/Robbins saga. Refom and many Tories argue for a civil service than can be more easily bent to the will and whims of their elected political masters.

This is precisely what happened here.

Now this is a lead story that should have MPs demanding answers, emergency sessions, street protests from those who want to 'take back control'.

They all got extremely rich too

That’s usually enough

This is already demonstrably incorrect. And Wright isn't even dead yet.

I thought Pipers were going to challenge but they fell slightly short

Tyrrell’s are the best. These and the Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper are amazing.

Are there, perhaps, any recent examples of dubious characters with obvious security risks being appointed to the House of Lords?

What I find the hardest to move on from is that Starmer stood before the commons stating that due process was followed yet he hadn’t checked on the status of Mandleson’s vetting. It appears clumsy

McSweeney is the architect of all of this for sure. However, Starmer gave him control therefore looks guilty of poor judgement and can be accused of being a puppet.

Mandelson should never been considered at all.

It’s no coincidence that Tice’s Taxes have hushed up too

No but he has taken his hands off the wheel again, once is careless…..

Labour politicians have to be unimpeachable, beyond reproach and without the slightest sniff of impropriety to just get by

We were promised that, and whilst Starmer is honest his judgement is very questionable

I agree. If it was his first mishap he’d be ok, however it’s another similar lapse in judgement and control. From someone that promised to bring trust back into politics

There’s too much at stake

Considering what shagger Johnson got away with in his tenure, he should

7 hours ago 1 0 1 0

It’s another chink in his credibility and suitability to be PM

For a famously forensics minded lawyer he is very careless

I’m embarrassed for them.

Whilst they are a vast improvement on the previous Tory government’s, low bar, they are not helping themselves with these own goals

Exactly, each and every one of them has done us this season. Whether on the pitch or in the VAR room

30 people made the decision to award the Palantir contract.

@unison.org.uk represent 1.3m people and the BMA all doctors.

It's time the Labour government cleared up Tory mess and remove Palantir from NHS.

Palantir’s deranged manifesto shows why it should be nowhere near our public services.

This is not a normal company, it's Trump's favourite tech firm and a danger to our NHS.

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.

Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.
