Today is Autism Acceptance Day. Let's make sure to always provide our neighbors, friends and family who have autism with comfort, support and love.

Happy Passover!
The Primary Election is less than two months away. Make sure you are registered to vote, and if you are voting by mail, apply for a mail-in ballot. Please note that voting by mail is safe and secure. Go to vote.pa.gov today to register and apply for a mail-in ballot.
Too many people have to choose between their paycheck and their family. Last week, we passed the Family Care Act in the PA House to change that, giving workers up to 12 weeks off to care for a new child, a loved one, or themselves during major life moments.
While this progress is significant, we remain committed to building on it and delivering even safer communities for all.
As Chair of the PA Safe Caucus, I’ve led efforts in Harrisburg to fight for Community Violence Intervention funding, investing in the people and programs that prevent violence before it starts.
Our city is safer today because we’ve taken action. From securing state funding to supporting law enforcement and community-based solutions, we’ve been intentional about reducing violence.
For far too long, Black people have faced discrimination for wearing our natural hair. I was so proud to be present for the signing of the CROWN Act into law at the State Capitol. Thank you to my colleagues Rep. La'Tasha Mayes and @repmcclinton.com for leading the way on this critical legislation!
I want to extend a warm thank you to Father MK and the entire church community for opening your doors and showing up in such a meaningful way. Making sure our seniors have access to reliable transportation is essential, and this is what community partnership looks like.
Today, I partnered with my colleague @repdougherty.com to bring critical resources directly to seniors in Northeast Philadelphia. Together, we hosted a SEPTA fare card event at Saint Thomas Indian Orthodox Church.
My resolution honoring the iconic boxing match in 1971 between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, dubbed the "Fight of the Century" passed the House this week. Ali and Frazier are two of the greatest boxers of all time, and both did tremendous philanthropic work and have significant ties to Pennsylvania.
This is the third time in four years that we have passed a bill to raise the minimum wage in the PA House. Now, we need our Republican colleagues in the PA Senate to get on board and pass this bill! You can show your support to #RaiseTheWage by filling out this petition on my website.
I was proud to vote in favor of a bill to increase Pennsylvania’s minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2029, which also includes an option for counties to implement a $15 per hour wage sooner.
Eid Mubarak!
For too long, many Pennsylvanians have not been paid a living wage for their work. It's time to #RaiseTheWage for hard-working Pennsylvanians. You can make your voice heard by filling out a petition on my website to help us demand this important change: www.pahouse.com/Bellmon/Peti...
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

After a productive first week of budget hearings, I’m back in Harrisburg for two more weeks to hear from more different state departments on how Governor Shapiro’s proposed state budget would impact them. You can view these hearings live at www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
March is #WomensHistoryMonth, a time to recognize and celebrate all that women have contributed to our society. It is also important that we continue fighting for women's opportunities, representation, equality, and freedom.
We are about two and a half months away from Primary Election Day. Your vote is your voice, and it is critical that you can cast one on Election Day. Make sure you are registered to vote and know if you are voting by mail or in-person. Visit vote.pa.gov for more information.
Today is Dominican Independence Day, a great time to celebrate and recognize Dominican culture and all the invaluable contributions Dominicans have made. It is also important that we stand with our Dominican neighbors during these trying times.
Hearings for the state budget begin today. As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I look forward to hearing from the different state departments on how the budget would impact them. If you would like to view these hearings live, visit here www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
Thank you to Mayor Cherelle Parker for coming out to my district to see firsthand the impact of the City of Philadelphia’s snow removal efforts in Olney. It’s important that leadership shows up, listens to residents, and works together to keep our neighborhoods safe and accessible.
Please note that our office is closed today due to the inclement weather. Make sure to stay safe and take care of one another.
It was great to speak with Penn Capital-Star about my bill with @repandrecarroll.com requiring courts to account for the total time a child spends in secure detention when determining the duration of their sentence. Our bill passed the PA House with bipartisan support.

On Presidents Day, I co-hosted a shredding and e-cycling event with Rep. Sean Dougherty and Rep. Jared Solomon at Roosevelt Mall. We saw a tremendous turnout of neighbors who stopped by for us to help them safely and securely dispose of unwanted paper documents and electronic devices.
Ramadan Mubarak!
