I'm working on a "sandbox" / "open world" hexcrawl. I've a fair idea for what kinds of encounters I want in each environment, and how many possible encounters each hex will have.
I've never done a hexcrawl map before though, how's it looking? Anything that would normally be there that I'm missing?

Well, that was a ROOK-ie mistake
*runs away cackling like Skeletor*
Did you forget about your Knights Action Surge, or Extra Attacks? Really should have taken the Sentinel Feat to defend against incoming Bishops!
That's EXACTLY what a robot would say, Bez! ๐ค
No worries! I ended up getting 3 boxes, and they hold about 120, as long as they're all a 25mm base (less if the bases are bigger, obviously).
Three of them (the 4L version) stacked up will fit nicely into a Kallax shelf, with a little room above and to the side.
Ooh, they do look handy! If my calculations are correct, they comfortably hold about 150 standard minis (25mm base) in each box, and can stack three into a Kallax shelf?
Might have to get some of those! Thanks!
Feeling tired today! Moved the baby into her own room yesterday and, as expected, she didn't sleep all that well on her own, so had to keep getting up and going in to comfort her. Hard, but necessary. She's in great form today though, so her smiles and giggles are giving me energy.
A muscular pig-man wearing a loincloth, with a metallic prosthetic left hand, pulsing green veins and a tank on his back, standing in a power pose.
A raven mage, wearing a golden robe with a red hood, posed in front of a spectral image of a raven god with six arms.
A raven mage in golden robes with a red hood. Wispy black smoke swirling around her waist and hands, blue flame flaring behind her head, and three little will-o'-the-wisp's peeking out from behind her.
A large pig-man with a beer gut, wearing a loincloth, with a tube sticking into his left elbow. His left hand is a metallic prosthetic, as is his right foot. He has his arms raised and toxic looking green smoke is filling the area all around him.
Artwork is progressing nicely, the feeling / experience I was aiming for when I started making the game is nearly nailed down. It looks like I might be able to go to crowdfunding with my first game sometime in 2024! ๐คฉ
So I should really start building a community and getting people excited, huh? ๐
Just bought it! Looks like fun, can't wait to give it a shot.
Just finished painting the babies room, waiting on that to air out and dry before I make her crib / cot. So now I'm doing a clear out / clean up of my office / games room.
Not my ideal use of PTO but it has to be done ๐
Hundreds of plastic miniatures from various board games displayed in clear resin nail polish racks on a sky blue wall.
Serious question for those with loads of minis. What is your preferred storage solution? I was using these clear acrylic nail polish racks, but this is a lot of wall space, and only about a third of my minis ๐ It also doesn't work for larger minis.

That looks amazing! I love it!
Literally just watched this episode yesterday! My wife and I had decided to rewatch all the episodes from the start on Disney+, and this is where we're at! Good aul Stampy!
Aren't they a "Monstrosity"?
I agree though, it has the potential for a very interesting social encounter if, instead of "I see a giant spider, so now I fight a giant spider", it instead jumps to a cutscene where she comes down from the ceiling and has some dialogue (maybe taunts, maybe threats).
Shelves filled with a variety of board games from multiple publishers, in many different genres across an array of game mechanics.
Rearranging some of my games on an old bookcase as it had gotten to the stage where new games were arriving faster than I could find storage space to put them.
Sometimes the arrangement of games is like a game in itself!
Let me know if you recognise any here, and what you think of them!
I've made it! I'm finally here! I'm just now realising I have nothing to say!!
Who wants to talk about games?
