Guessing here, the game was built for Switch 1 from the start, and despite being an AAA game, it doesn't have that much going on under the hood compared to other big games out there. Optimization and performance was given great care, whereas in other games they'd try to cram as many VFXs as possible

I don't know if it is a result of them being MoCap assisted, or merely the vision they had, but man, Samus' animations in this game have no sauce or spice compared to Mercury Steam's handcrafted Dread animations.

There is no Trilogy for Switch, if you have to play the three of them, WiiU it is. Or play them on PC with Primehack.
Outside of sheer curiosity, there is almost no need to play the older games. Although, Prime 4 is kinda bad at teaching legacy techniques taught in the older games, so there's that.

I was surprised how bereft of substance the game is. I will stand by my view on the bike being a great item on paper, but they really didn't do anything with it. Not only did the devs not pick up on 20 years worth of feedback, they got worse at nearly everything.

The worst part is that they had two decades of feedback to work with, yet decided to ignore all of it and make it as bad as possible to attract people that were never going to buy it. But they sure as hell wanted us to be hype and pay premium + the figures to make the game feature complete.
