I probably am disqualified from playing this game due to overqualification but
I don't *believe* this per se, but there's a long-held conspiracy theory that Alex Jones is long-dead esoteric comedian Bill Hicks, and I'm just gonna say that it makes Jones REALLY mad when you bring it up
DELIGHTFUL thank you!!!!
“His ideas and what he built are so ubiquitous now," a former Infowars employee explains. "It’s been in the White House for two terms. You have all these young people picking up the torch. It’s getting far worse. The damage is done.”
No, should I???
I hope to eat them 🥲 (green olives and za’atar!)
NEW: How exactly has Alex Jones avoided paying the Sandy Hook families a single dime of what he owes? I wrote about it here, and spoke to Chris Mattei, an attorney for some of the families, and Lenny Pozner, the father of the youngest child who died at Sandy Hook: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Sorry I didn’t crop the screenshot enough so now you all know long I have left until I need to shape my bagels. This is not a euphemism
He is also, and again you will be shocked to hear this, threatening to sue The Onion
Tweet from Alex jones that reads “Yeah, stealing peoples identities so you can misrepresent them is criminal. Just keep laughing like the last time you guys tried this.”
Alex Jones is alternating between being Not Mad Online about The Onion thing and accusing someone I’m not even clear is connected to The Onion of fraud for “stealing peoples identities”
I didn’t worship at the altar of Celine even a little but though
Yeah absolutely
Yes, I think Ben cares deeply about this, and so do the lawyers for the families; they've all put a lot into this.
Alex excels at avoiding consequences in ways that mere mortals could only dream of. Great work from Anna, as always.
Background: Here's a highly condensed version of the last eight exhausting years of legal wrangling www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
The Onion news is very funny etc but I think it's worth spending a little time looking at the reality of what's happened: the families have not seen their settlement, and Lenny and his former wife Veronique have not even had their long-awaited day in court. This has been brutal and it's not over.

It's actually really striking how normally-hued he used to be when I look back. Those times, they are gone
Jones is claiming that the Supreme Court has "signaled" that they're going to "shoot down" the judgments against him, which is a lie; they already declined to hear his case. I realize no one who watches his show will see this but I guess I still care about observable reality
I would pay actual money to watch him spin a globe and figure it out
He also accuses The Onion of "wanting to wear my skin like Silence of the Lambs" which is a really horrible visual
Jones accuses Judge Maya Guerra Gamble of being put into place by George Soros, which is the kind of stuff that got him in trouble during the damages trials. He says the Onion's plan is to "make fun of me" and "misrepresent me," adding, "They're in for a fight."
You'll never believe this but Jones is responding to this news on Infowars by saying he's "under globalist attack" and urging his viewers to give him money and buy his supplements
After years of legal action, the Onion says it has reached an agreement with a bankruptcy receiver to license the Infowars site.
Right, Judge Gamble heard the original defamation cases in Texas and has very limited patience for Jones-related antics. The judge who killed it last time was bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez, who was pretty reluctant to ever make any decisions.
No, not in the end; Jones I think hoped he would. Instead Twitter/X's lawyers made a very brief appearance in the proceedings to lodge a minor objection about something small related to the social media accounts of the company.
God willing they experience this feeling regularly
This is what I was asking about btw www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
