Very nice!! My most expensive machine had to be serviced after trying to hem my dad's jeans. And then I broke it by sewing glittery fabric (it chewed up the PLASTIC gears inside). 😭

Anyway, his name at his old home was Marilyn Monroe, but now it's Malone. I hope he can be happy here. He is a sweet baby who accepts pets, hugs, and preens from someone he just met!

He is king of the cement mixer! I was pretty surprised when he jumped on it. I think he was trying to find somewhere to roost for the night, poor guy.

I let him out into an area that is fenced within the main perimeter fence, and he didn't jump over! So far, so good

I am at least temporarily caring for this rooster, but he is SO SPROINGY, and I am terrified he is going to jump over the fence and go running off into the woods 😭

I might have to keep him in the night pen 24/7 for his own protection 😭

I agree! I hope the spot is good. I had the option of either a lake or the overflow ditch from it, so I picked the overflow ditch since it's fairly similar to where they were hatched except that it shouldn't dry out completely (and also probably has fewer predators since there aren't fish in it)

I spent way more time than I wanted moving hundreds of tadpoles from a nearly dry drainage ditch into a safer area today. 😭 Why do frogs make such bad decisions

Man, I would LOVE for other people to babysit them! I have too many other animals to spend as much time with them as would be ideal. 😟 I'm just hoping I can find them all homes once they're ready to go

(And yes, her face always looks like that. She is an alien baby!)

I lost my very first duck I ever rescued today- Woodrow, the one who started it all. He was 12 years old and half blind, but still spry and spunky until he began a rapid decline a few weeks ago. Rest in peace, sweet Woodrow. A lot of ducks have been saved because of you. Love you always 🩷🦆
