Great to be in Salina! Spoke to the Salina Indivisible group last night and started off this morning with some excellent coffee and outstanding conversation. Amazing people!

No trip to west Kansas is complete without a stop in Abilene!
The Orangetheory location I go to in Overland Park is next to a Honeybaked Ham store. The parking lot was *ridiculous* today.
People know they're open and selling ham year round, right? 🤔
I had to put it under wraps when I got into politics, but it was called Frighteningly Uncommon Sense. Really catchy. 😆
Breaking: The president has signed an executive order on mail voting. He has no lawful authority to write the rules that govern our elections. He tried a year ago; we sued him; we won. A year later, he has tried again. He can expect the same result. 1/2
I know you from tenth-muse. I remember finding it after a random search online for blogs when I needed a distraction from my job that made me sad all the time. You probably don't remember my blog, but you were at the top of my blogroll for sure!
Jennifer will be back in Lawrence on Friday, March 27th at the Sunflower Cafe and Pub! Come swing by, grab a coffee, and say hello.
Heads up to all our Riley County friends, Jennifer will be speaking at the Riley County Democrats Spring Fundraiser! Come on out and support your county party in this important election year.
A clerks visit took us to Mound City in Linn County where we learned about the James Montgomery Ballot Box and then finished off the day speaking to some amazing folks with the Franklin County Democrats in Ottawa!
Jennifer has been meeting with county clerks who are in charge of overseeing voting and elections in their communities. She is getting their unique perspectives, experiences, and points of view to better prepare her to become the next Kansas Secretary of State!
Thank you to all the Johnson County Democrats who came out to spend this beautiful morning listening to Jennifer share her vision for our amazing state!
So much fun being back in Wichita speaking to the Sedgwick County Democratic Women! Great food, great speakers, great Kansans!
Every member of the House of Reps has an election this year. What are you referring to?
A great crowd last night of committed and informed voters! A perfect example of the amazing civic engagement we have here in Kansas.
A day to mark the achievements of women from all walks of life. Did you know that the first female mayor in US history was from Kansas? Susanna Madora Salter from Argonia was elected in 1887!
Washington Days have been a blast! It's amazing to see the commitment, diversity, and strength of Kansas Democrats. 2026 will be a big year!
I'm honored to have the endorsement of House Democratic Leader Brandon Woodard. His support means so much as we work together to protect every Kansan’s freedom to vote and ensure our elections remain secure and accessible.
Thank you all for your amazing support! We could not do any of this without you.

DOJ's recent 6th Circuit filing misspelled:
Voters as “Votors”
Emergency as "Emeregency"
United States as "United Staes"
And, it included a non-party in the caption.
These are the people who want access to your sensitive voting records and who my team fights in court every day.
So many people to thank as we work our way through visiting all of the Johnson County Democrats senate groups! Your support and enthusiasm has been amazing. Thank you all so much!
Breathtakingly insane. Just WOW.
You're right...I misspoke. But invoking the nuclear option (using a simple vote to overturn the rule of filibuster) is something both sides of the aisle resist for lots of reasons. I personally think that's what Collins was hanging her hopes on in this case.
...which again requires 60 votes to achieve.
Wait...why wouldn't the SAVE America Act require 60 votes to pass? It's not an appropriations bill, so they still need 10 Dems to vote in favor, and that won't happen...right??? 🫣😫
The federal government is suing states for refusing to hand over unredacted voter registration rolls. This is your personal information.
Secretaries of State have demanded answers. Kansas deserves a Secretary of State who will protect your data and your vote.
Who uses mail-in ballots in Kansas? Military families stationed overseas. Seniors who can't easily get to the polls. Rural voters who live miles from their polling place. Working parents who can't take a Tuesday off.
Voting is a right for every eligible Kansan.
Not sure who needs to hear this but the voter fraud rate is a mere 0.000003%. Anyone telling you otherwise is making shit up so they can take away your right to vote.
Such a great time at 45th Annual Bean Feed in Topeka! Thank you to the Shawnee County Democrats for letting us join in on the fun. Great to see so many people who care so deeply for Kansas!
From Dodge City to Hays, from Johnson County to rural communities across the state, we're building a winning campaign. Kansans of every background are coming together around one simple idea: it should be easy to participate in our elections if you're eligible to vote.
