Q's Main Bar -- Seattle
A Busy Bar is a Happy Bar
(And happy bartenders and happier owner)
The main bar at Q in Seattle seen from the mezzanine.
I had three bars in the club: the main, the Bourbon Bar, tucked away next to the DJ booth, and the Mezzanine Bar. The Bourbon Bar had over 200 bourbons and whiskeys.

Vasquez choking out Bishop
"Hey, what are big brothers for?"
--- Chet from Weird Science
Not a day would go by that big bro Vasquez wouldn't try to choke out his little brother Bishop.
Bishy refusing to cuddle with Vasquez.
Back in 2013
This was how you knew that Bishop was pissed at his older brother Vasquez for bullying him.
He'd sleep on top of the sofa and refuse to cuddle. Little did he know that Vazy LOVED having the sofa all to himself.
In the crack of his ass -- duh!

In '10 I rented the whole building for 25 years. The ground floor and mezz where I built the club is 13,000 sq.ft. I always wanted to put a high end weed store into that 2nd floor 10,000 sq.ft. space but never got around to it.
With Jake Shears
Libras
Me with Scissor Sisters lead singer Jake Shears at my club in Seattle after Jake did a 6 hour long DJ set there. I think it may have been an all vinyl set too.
My terrace in NYC
Part of my terrace in NYC, Greenwich Village back around 1999. That Japanese Maple closest to the camera had to be brought up to the roof in the freight elevator with the elevator roof removed and then lowered onto my terrace from the roof.
The terrace had 300 degree wrap views.
Puffins near Haystack Rock. Cannon Beach, Oregon.
I luvz me some Puffins.
Bela
Bela Okmyx wants a piece of YOUR action!
I lived in Seattle and Bellevue but had inlaws in Spokane. For me the divide was approaching the Columbia and making that big sweeping uphill/downhill curve on I-90 at the east end of the Vantage bridge.
OKC
25 YEARS AGO TODAY
Homegrown American right wing neo Nazi scum did this.
Murdered 168 people and injured 853 including dozens of children killed and injured.
Its always the right wing who are domestic terrorists.
We used to shoot Nazis. Americans were quite good at it.
What I'm Listening to Right Now
Give it a listen -- you won't regret it.
This is a bit of a minor masterpiece by a band whose members hail from rural Kentucky and Mansfield, Ohio and was recorded in Louisville around 1969 for their Solid Oak LP.
Their one and only release.
That ending!!!
Louisville police civil forfeiture
Like a fucking boss, LMPD!
I'm not a big fan of civil forfeiture laws as currently written and enforced here in Louisville (or anywhere) but....
This is pretty fucking ninja imo.
How the two parts of Washington State see each other.
Its funny cuz its true.
Although, I'd probably add a Nazi armband to the Sand People uni.
Hurricane Ridge
The interior Olympics as seen Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park, Washington.
I was up in that meadow back in 2007. It's at 5,200ish feet of elevation.
You can look north from Hurricane Ridge all the way across the Strait of Juan de Fuca and see the town of Victoria, BC.

The Mountain
Photographed from Bonny Lake, Washington.
We truly do have the stupidest people imaginable leading us.
Its almost as if they're an exact reflection of the electorate.
There's so much I miss about living in the Pacific Northwest -- the mountains, the water, the water and the mountains....
But most of all.....
I miss Vern Fonk
