Just picking up a rental from Enterprise. I was asked for my employers details for “insurance underwriting”. That feels like a data overreach. Refused to give it and clearly no big deal. Never had that before.

Reminds me actually that my Dad was arrested the other day for stealing the lollipop lady's lollipop!
He denied it at first Russell, but all the signs were there.
Lollipop ladies: they make me cross.
Let me know when you find one… could use one meself
Should we have run this by Chris first?
Once again, I had to threaten to leave my broadband provider to get a good deal.
I got a good deal but all this admin. Why can’t companies just do the right thing?
Just a quick plug for my new poofreading service, which now comes with a monkey-back guarantee.
Cutting military aid to Ukraine is exactly what you’d expect a Russian ally to do.
One day, I’ll do a conference presentation on the Autograph Book of Death. Be more interesting than the usual guff.
Now the book was originally just called the autograph book but given that the last signature was added in 1986, it's sad fact of life that many of the stars of screen and course are now dead.
I ain't saying the book is cursed, but lets be straight: lots have already died; they'll all die :)

But there were loads more. LOADS more.
So many, I've made this spreadsheet so you can see whose in the book and their current 'status'.
Take a look: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

And I met Henry Kelly and he was kind enough to sign the Autograph Book of Death.
Look, here he is.

And as a First Aider, I had a kinda 'access all areas' pass and so I sorta free roamed in case anyone needed a plaster. Or a bandage. I was pretty good at bandages.
But really, it was a great chance to get up close to some pretty famous people.

Anyone who was anyone* came to play at that tournament.
* Ok, it was quite a tight demographic. A pro golfer OR a 1970s/1980s celebrity who happened to like golf.
Henry Kelly was there.

It's mid 1980s and I'm a cool teenager. So cool in fact that I'm a member of the St. John's Ambulance. Yea. waaaay. cool.
I volunteered most summers to staff a First Aid post at a local pro-celebrity golf tournament at Moor Park, near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.
I mentioned being cool, yea?

Well, the sad death of Henry "Going for Gold" Kelly is a apt moment to remind the world of the Autograph book of Death.

Elon "Those who ignored President Trump’s executive order to return to work have now received over a month’s warning.
Starting this week, those who still fail to return to office will be placed on administrative leave."
Your punishment for not returning to the office is not to return to the office.
Step 4: UK to rejoin the EU
The UK is in geopolitical no mans land right now. We’re appeasing the Americans on one side; pretending to be European on the other. We need to be an ally. We need to ‘team up’ and there’s absolutely no point in doing that with the US.
Step 3: Create an EU army
We need a cohesive military threat to counter Russian aggression. The EU army would align to NATO strategy.
Step 2: Insist the US leaves NATO. If they cannot adhere to the principles of supporting each other, then they cannot be a member.
Invite Ukraine to join as they should.
Step 1: Dismiss the US-Russian talks as a a sideshow.
There can be no talks without Ukraine. It is just remarkably arrogant that the US think they can take this without Ukrainian and European input.
If the US has ruled out Ukraine’s NATO membership and insisted that Europe looks after itself, then that is exactly what we must do. If the US can’t be trusted — and they absolutely can’t — then we need to take control.
Right now, the US *are* a threat to Europe. Their unilateralism and geopolitical arrogance is jeopardising Ukraine, NATO and Europe’s peace. If the US aren’t steadfast in their support of Europe, then Putin will march West knowing the US won’t act.
That’s remarkably dangerous.
The EU-UK-US relationship has stood strong for 80 years, routed in shared interests, culture and frankly, threats.
It’s clear from JD Vance’s remarkable comments that we no longer share these things. With the US moving towards neo-monarchism and fascism, they’re the outlier.
Surely this isn’t real? King Donald is now banning adjectives.
The man is a felon. Best we use it to describe it.
Americans: let me know how your price cuts for groceries and gas is going won’t you?
