Excuse me, Teamsters is 5th, and UAW is 7th, actually; forgot about the AFT, the *other* teachers union, which also has about as many members as UAW and Teamsters combined.

Largest union in the US is the teacher's union (NEA). Second largest union is SEIU, which is what most nurses are organized under. Teamsters is 4th, and UAW is 5th -- combined, they still have fewer numbers than SEIU.
SCOOP: Two weeks ago, the head of the CDC delayed publication of a report showing covid vaccine cut likelihood of ER visits and hospitalizations by half. Now that report is no longer allowed to be published in CDC’s flagship scientific journal. My latest. 1/2

SARA EISEN: I think it was a bit of a trap to ask Kevin Warsh about the election denial, to get him to disagree w/ President Trump. You know no Fed Chair is going to weigh in on politics like that
WARREN: Look, I asked him a fact. We need a Fed Chair who can assert reality. Kevin Warsh can't do it
Extremely relevant to the “Is Bluesky Dying” debate.
Incredible thread. The level of in person community-building and mutual aid that came out Minneapolis is unprecedented in modern American times.
the correct way to make constitutional changes, according to Republicans, is to win with a plurality by promising voters you’ll lower the cost of living, then pursue inflationary policies while making extralegal changes to the US constitution by usurping the power of the legislative branch
on top of being wildly hypocritical, one thing that strikes me is how poorly both of these op-eds are written
I love that every 72 hours or so Donald Trump tries to just quit the war in Iran
every conservative political complaint comes back to "those people shouldn't count because they disagree with me"
Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.
honestly this is why the House is the superior body lol
Jeffries threatening “maximum warfare” if Florida redistricts
what remains to be seen:
—What Florida Republicans do in a special session next week.
—What Missouri's supreme court does with ballot petitions to block the new Missouri map (accounts for 1 GOP seat).
—What Virginia's supreme court does with the GOP lawsuit against the Virginia referendum.
It’s 4/20 and I’m getting excited for a big win tomorrow!
most gerrymanders are republican legislators saying fuck the voters
these ones are the voters saying fuck republican legislators
🚨 Virginia has APPROVED the amendment for congressional redistricting, @nbcnews.com projects. A victory for Democrats that will help them gain several House seats in the 2026 midterms.
God bless L. Louise Lucas
And in fact Republican states like Utah and Ohio have retained their gerrymanders in open defiance of successful referendums demanding non-partisan redistricting
i love how no images are loading so this is a real choose your own adventure for the elections results you want tonight
My first thought is . . . what exactly is the alleged crime here?
And then I remember -- there doesn't really need to be one.

Stupid goo goo nonsense. The only way to get fair districting is to pinch republicans in the mouth enough until they agree to fairness. Doing this with Callais days away from ripping up the VRA is so stupid I don’t know where to begin.
"Few approve of how Donald Trump is handling the cost of living" – Overall: 33-67 – Immigration: 40-59 – Iran: 32-67 – Economy: 30-70 – Cost of living: 23(!)-76 "The nationwide poll was conducted April 16-20, 2026 using the AmeriSpeak® Panel, the probability-based panel of NORC at the University of Chicago. Online and telephone interviews using landlines and cell phones were conducted with 2,596 adults. The overall margin of sampling error is +/- 3.4 percentage points."
There's no other way to say it: This AP-NORC poll is atrocious for Trump.
– Overall: 33-67
– Immigration: 40-59
– Iran: 32-67
– Economy: 30-70
– Cost of living: 23(!)-76
37% of Republicans disapprove of his handling of the economy, 47% disapprove on cost of living.

Roy Anthony Scott was in a mental health crisis and called 911 asking for help
Cops came and killed him, & now the Court is casting doubt on whether the cops can be held accountable for his death

"Ms. Kerkhoff and Mr. Dickert plan to move, potentially out of state, so they may escape the social isolation that Defendants’ false accusation has forced them to endure." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
179. Ms. Kerkhoff read Defendants’ November 8 Article in disbelief. Like on January 6, she immediately snapped into crisis response mode. 180. Ms. Kerkhoff had already retained a personal data removal service provider to scan and remove private information from data brokers and “people search” sites in preparation for Trump pardoning the January 6 defendants. She now called immediate family members and pleaded with them to do the same. She even retained and paid-for the same personal data removal service provider for her entire immediate family. 181. Ms. Kerkhoff and Mr. Dickert drove to the grocery store and bought a trunk-load of frozen food. Then, fearful for their safety, they rarely left the house for two weeks. Every time they did, they were followed. They did not know by whom: investigators, reporters, or people who believed Defendants’ false claims and intended to harm them. 182. Ms. Kerkhoff received an enormous, unwanted amount of attention from reporters. Some found her name on Venmo and attempted to send her $1 so they could “connect,” enabling them to send her direct messages. Ms. Kerkhoff was forced to disguise her identity on Venmo and to lock down her profile from public searches. Others reached out to her through Signal. She deleted that app entirely. Ms. Kerkhoff once saw a mysterious man walk up to her front door. He turned out to be a reporter for the Daily Wire. On a Friday night, Blaze Media’s editor-in-chief Christopher Bedford visited her home in Alexandria, Virginia; Blaze Media later reported that he was “pulled over by local police after stopping to observe” it.
Here's what happened after a conservative website suggested that an officer who testified in Jan. 6 cases was the pipe bomber:

These are the 25 ethics violations that the House Ethics Committee found re: Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick D-FL. She has a penalty hearing on Tuesday afternoon
good riddance
Before she rebranded as a Savvy Legal Media Pundit, Sarah Isgur's job was working in the Justice Department, doing PR for Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions during family separation. Now, she is running PR for a different set within the conservative legal movement. It's not more complicated than that.
