That's the stuff. I tried some newer Bond films but there are just too many high octane action sequences, gimme exposition through dialogue and one good shootout.
I still believe that bad art is more interesting than mediocre art, but there's something to be said for that sweet spot of disinterest.
Is anyone else a fan of bad movies? I often keep a tab with a movie playing while I pixel, and real cinema is just too engrossing. And I don't mean so-bad-it's-good MST3K type stuff, I mean ACTUALLY bad- that perfect state of utter mediocrity.
dawg
I can only confidently ID North American birds but of those options I like rook given the beak shape.
I give mine kibble, but when I introduced hot dog slivers... ho boy
Look at that belly. Majestic. There's a card from that era with a similar look

I like them all, for once they don't feel overdesigned (tho Gecqua could lose the forehead ๐งimo). Tough to choose a fave until I see their evos ๐ค๐ญ๐ค
Yeah late '98 here in the US
Call me basic but I like a classic ruby-throated

Portraits I made pixel version of for Fixeight Exa Label.
I worked off of new concept/promotional art by Nanpei Kaneko, who also did the promo art and ingame portraits for the original arcade version. Each of the portraits is 16 colours (including the black) and are in 15bit colourdepth. Fun times.
I miss games where you get to pack your items into a tetris grid. brings me back to the days of the horadric cube
I quit as PJ mod back in uni so I get it, I don't blame any WotP mods, afaik just a casualty of social media's rise + many artists getting busier lives (often as pro artists, so that's cool!) I hadn't been active on Pix/PJ long before the latter ceased to exist, just yearnin for the internet of yore

Improved the hand thanks to feedback from @ptoing.bsky.social, same dude who gave me killer feedback 20 years ago when I was just starting out. God I miss Pixelation, it was a watering hole but also a whetting stone.
Thanks for the push! It's a little too small after the edit so gotta resize it a little but I'm mostly ok with the shapes now
Yeah shifting a couple fingers ain't it, so I took a reference photo and gave it a thorough edit this time:
Was working from life so probably mashed up a couple different angles, I think this helps
I... uh... *feigns death*
I'm a rubber ducky, the bald man is just my online avatar
Excellent observation, this will be rectified!
