Finished Veilguard this evening. Turns out it is a good game, but you have to get about 20 hours in for it to start paying off, and another 20 after that for it to REALLY pay off.

Dodgy writing in the early game and some awkward characterisations create a barrier that you have to slog through.

I'm not very far in but I'm already feeling the same. It feels like almost everything has taken a few steps back.

Basically RPG things are missing, like knowing what quest a level is before I get destroyed by being massively undereleveled, or not having access to quests I won't understand yet.

Started up Veilguard last night (bit delayed as I have been playing other stuff) and I have to say, the character chreator was a bit too much for me.

The level of choice was great, but I think it would benefit from more base presets to start from so you don't have to customise every aspect.

Bluesky having an influx of people moving from The Old Place (tm) is giving bumping into old friends in the supermarket vibes.

Star Wars Outlaws stands out as a great game in the SW universe that doesn't focus on Jedi or the Force. Lots of world building with some fantastic gameplay, been really enjoying it. Obligatory #PhotoMode shots taken randomly along the way. #StarWarsOutlaws
