Across the South — and especially in Florida, home to Moms for Liberty, Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz — MAGA has spent the last 5 years attacking and demonizing librarians, teachers, LGBTQ people and other innocent parties for "sexualizing" and "grooming" children.

Trump knows when he risks looking bad. So when he does that — by acting like a toady to Putin, or by scotching the Epstein talk — he has a reason for it. His self-image is the thing he pays most attention to. When he's willing to take a hit, disgruntle the base, it's not out of carelessness.

The power went out at the movie theater and it was a CineBarre, with the reclining seats — which stopped operating, and were mostly stuck open. So whole theaters full of people had to extricate ourselves from fully reclined chairs. It was like the La-Z Boy olympics.
