100% this. It's like hearing your friend broke up with her Basic As Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck boyfriend, spent months diving into actualization, reinventing herself, talked hard about new life choices and destiny... and then decided to get back together with her old boyfriend who hasn't changed at all.

My spicy take is that it's really hard to railroad in Daggerheart due to player-centric moves and shared setting creation. CR is a multimillion dollar thing that is pretty much railroaded; so that they can have painted minis and terrain prepped weeks in advance. Much harder to do that w/Daggerheart.
