Yes! Haha yeah, we connected when Robin was looking to rehome Mac, and initially took him on as a foster but decided to keep him (and that way Mac was also close-ish so Uncle Robin could still visit).
Sorry for the influx of posts but I just want to say that I know times are tough all around. We don’t expect to make the whole GFM but to those who have donated or shared: you’ve lessened this blow during a really heartbreaking time for us, and it means so much.
I know I’m not on here much anymore and I hate that this is why I’m returning but thank y’all for understanding, your compassion, and for helping to spread the word 😭❤️
I’ll post an update to the GFM soon (once I don’t have a sick kitty curled up on me) but for transparency, we’ve now been quoted at $5500+ tax for Mac’s expenses, and this doesn’t even include Kaylee’s emergency.
Mac has been through so much—he was shot numerous times before he was two y/o. W adopted him as a sweet senior boy from his lovely previous owner and all we want is for him to live out the rest of his days happy and loved ❤️
Our pets are everything, and Kaylee has been with me for nearly 15 years now. She’s the sweetest, best cat. I know everyone thinks that about their pets, but she’s objectively perfect and I am beyond brokenhearted.
One of the contracts isn’t even for that much but the whole process has been dragged out, which is especially hard at this time.
Not to add to that GFM thread but I’m only working part-time currently and the two writing jobs I had? I’m waiting on contracts from November, which means I’m also waiting on payments for them.
We thought we’d have to take Kaylee to the vet soon, but didn’t anticipate that we’d have to deal with two vet bills on the same day.
Our good boy Mac is spending the next 24 hours with the vet, and we’ve been told that the vet bill will be even more than we thought 😔 Additionally, Kaylee, my sweet kitty had a medical emergency today too and we’ve set up a GFM to help with costs: www.gofundme.com/f/help-mac-g...
