For me, U2 was the only band who pulled it off with the Zoo TV tour in 1992

Texas Republicans passed a law that requires *every classroom in every public school in the state* to display the Ten Commandments. According to Kyle Duncan and the Fifth Circuit, this is perfectly constitutional, and actually, you're stupid if you think anything different.
I now understand why they're so desperate to overlook the totenkopf. The dumbfuck left has finally found a candidate willing to do exactly what they want a Senator to do: scream "DO SOMETHING" and then stand around grumbling "Feckless! Feckless!" when they have absolutely no power to do it.
Josh Hawley is a legendary piece of shit traitor. What are you doing quoting him about anything? Are you that dumb - even dumber than Matt Stoller?
Fifteen minutes before the President announced he was pausing strikes on Iran, somebody moved $500 million in oil futures. Somebody knew. Somebody told them. Or somebody is them.

one of the defining traits of the conservative movement is how ready they are to destroy the lives of completely random nobodies if it helps serve their lies and propaganda.
As a showcase of sadistic amorality, this is down there with the DHS agents who dined in a Mexican restaurant and then ordered a roundup of its staff. Trump revels in sociopathy, and has given chuds across the country license to do the same.
our money being sent to bail out gulf oil monarchies while we pay $6/gallon at the pump. Hail to the thief
Conservatives have been trained for decades to think of Constitutions not as agreed-upon rules for fair governance, but as a series of cheat codes and loopholes that let them hold power even when the voters want to throw them out. They won't accept anything less than permanent domination of us.
A reminder while Republicans bitch about Dems finishing the redistricting fight they started: they have full control of gov’t— they can pass a law banning gerrymandering any time they want. They won’t. Republicans aren’t mad gerrymandering exists; they’re mad that they’re not the only ones using it.
At the very least, he finally got the word that no one liked him, especially stand-up comedians who immediately spotted a hack with a lemming fanbase. Bill Burr once spent 20 minutes shredding the dude on his podcast.
Meanwhile, Tesla's new lithium refinery in Corpus Christi just got a cease and desist letter for dumping toxic waste into the sewer system.

Holy shit. The FBI raided this woman's house with a helicopter based on the word of a "gait analysis" quack they found on X.
HUGE scandal if true. Laura Loomer got Marco Rubio to throw two Iranian women with green cards in ICE jail to be stripped of status and deported, claiming they were related to Qasem Soleimani.
Official documents provided to @dropsitenews.com appear to show they are NOT related; they're innocent.
1. Trump has weaponized the FCC to control the media under his autocratic rule. Now, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr is turning the agency towards his next target: transgender characters in TV shows.
He seeks to change the rating system to penalize trans characters.

there are going to be people who say, take a wait and see approach to how the Court will treat the next Dem president
and those people are wrong, we know exactly how they will treat that person and it is the polar opposite of how they treat Trump
strike at them immediately, first order of business
“Expanding the Supreme Court is no different that redistricting in California and Virginia. It is a proportionate response to Republican attempts to degrade liberal democracy and move America toward a post-liberal order.”

SCOOP: Two weeks ago, the head of the CDC delayed publication of a report showing covid vaccine cut likelihood of ER visits and hospitalizations by half. Now that report is no longer allowed to be published in CDC’s flagship scientific journal. My latest. 1/2

Last week in Massachusetts a woman killed a 10-year-old girl days after police found her under the influence, asleep behind the wheel with her car in a crosswalk. Her license was not even suspended.
I want to talk a little bit more about this from the other day bc I think it’s important.
As politics increasingly comes to mean “Everyone in the world vs a handful of tech overlords,” I think it’s important to be clear on the historical relationship between labor and technology.

Atlanta is the most surveilled city in the world outside of China. It has a heavily militarized police force, and is also the headquarters of Flock.
Somehow, the perpetrators of two murders in the city's largest park, one in 2021, and the other in broad daylight two weeks ago, are still at large.
One of my favorite tweets of all time (due to the fact that I know Jimmy saw it) was posted a few minutes after the infamous Trump hair ruffle, then was deleted shortly after.

The mother and son detained in the Walmart parking lot remained at Dilley for more than three weeks. Immigration officials confiscated the boy's stuffed dinosaur toy and winter hat. At Dilley, they were provided with expired and spoiled food, which the child refused to eat. At the time they were detained, the mother was breastfeeding her youngest child, but while she was at Dilley, her milk dried up.
The physical and emotional pain our government inflicted on this mother is unbearable. We must spend the rest of our lives repairing the damage done with our tax dollars.

A three-judge panel earlier found a similar Louisiana law was unconstitutional. But a majority of the Fifth Circuit’s 17 active judges voted to rehear that case, and heard arguments in both matters in January. In February, the full US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said it was too early to weigh challenges to the Louisiana measure. The Fifth Circuit’s decision “is an egregious example of motivated analysis,” says Elizabeth Sepper, a law professor at UT Austin who focuses on religion and law. “The court wants to give a win to Texas so it concludes that it can ignore controlling Supreme Court precedent—a case that banned Ten Commandment displays in public schools,” she writes in an email. “If the decision stands, the writing seems to be on the wall for Louisiana’s law.” The judges, she added, “seem dedicated to favoring conservative Christian causes, all other religious people and efforts be damned.”
