Hiked nearby Coyote Ridge Trail the other day in a vain attempt to make it to Devil’s Backbone out in the sticks (due to time), but just about when I had to turn around, I ran into a herd of deer.

While it was tricky to get shots of the group, a curious onlooker was quite the photogenic one 🦌📸🐺

Also grateful it’s my last shift for the week tonight, been particularly busy so I’m looking forward to posting all the pics and stuff from everything I’ve neglected over the last few weeks ^^;

After a few years of non-stop use, my worn Blizzacks needed to be retired.

While I know it’s terrible to ride on winter tires over several summers, I’ve now corrected that by getting VREDESTEIN QUATRAC PRO+ XL all-weather tires today for the WRX. Feels like a new car again!

Was out in Denver for a much needed escape from work, but back to the grind tonight. Estes tomorrow w/ a friend of mine who just moved to the area, then I’m planning on updating all my social media w/ pics from the last few weeks on Monday.

Sorry for the delay, been a busy month to say the least.

After initial tests, 1TB nets me about 1 hour 20 minutes of footage in the ProRes LOG and HDR formats at 60 FPS and about 36 minutes in 120 FPS.

Wild how much storage is required these days, luckily anything below 60 FPS is 2+ hours.

Just found out my co-worker’s wife gave birth to his kid today (congratulations, tho!). He’s on paternal leave for a month at least.

We’re already a skeleton crew turned into just two guys. My apologies if I’m afk a bit this month, depending on the severity of the workload 💻💀

Make that tonight or tomorrow morning, got distracted with a night at my friend’s mechanic shop while catching up on things, now seeing the new Mario movie with friends before work tonight. Sorry, my bad >>;

Well, looks like I’m taking a stab at ProRes filming after all: Found a cheap 1TB MagSafe SSD that met the requirements to record up to ProRes LOG format, and with the upcoming San Fransisco trip, I can’t think of a better time to put the iPhone 17 Pro Max the test.

60k+ mile tune up on the WRX is FINALLY complete. Fun watching my car “vape” for the first time when we blasted the carbon off the valves with chemicals. Spark plug + oil change replacement went well!

For real, I was worried I’d be in the negative and not be able to pull a lot of this off.

Reduced my $4k+ hospital bill SIGNIFICANTLY via the hospital’s charity program, saved up enough to get the remaining parts to finish maintenance on the WRX (working on it tonight), AND got rent covered.

Busting ass this week paid off, wild how expensive everything is now :/

Sadly I’ve yet to see the movie, but I grew up watching the anime on Adult Swim every night religiously ;3;

I went to an anime convention today and came back with a sacred cultural artifact from my youth. Thrilled to finally own this series on Blu-ray ^^

Seeing Squirrel Nut Zippers at the Stanley Hotel last night was an incredible experience. Haven’t swing danced in over a decade, paired excellent with an old fashioned & an overly energetic crowd. Shame I couldn’t make their second set this evening, eager for more 🎶 🥃 🐺

Last night of the work week, then taking a few days for myself after getting through all the chaos at home.

Spending most of Friday in Estes Park deep in the mountains to draw, hang out with the elk, & see Squirrel Nut Zippers for the 1st time at the Stanley Hotel 🪕🎻🎺🥁👻🐺

With all the piling bills, I was hoping the new gig would elevate me out of the financial slump my current gig seldom budges on. Huge bummer, and despite everything, I feel bad for the guy. I don’t want to see him like this, I wanted him and this company to succeed so badly.

In just a few days, due to the actions of my roommate’s dad, I’m left in shock as a company I was helping build with him from the ground up is now possibly non-existent because of his arrest.

Actions have consequences, be mindful of who you’re hurting when you act on emotions.

It’s all good, I appreciate it a ton <3
