answer in a way that makes you comfortable, but in the spirit of public appreciation, please also consider letting the authors know your thoughts and donβt forget to use alt text on pictures and link to the work youβre referencing :)

Some people never learn. Honestly.
people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. π

Image describing how to write alt text, using an image of a capybara in a hot spa with a yellow fruit on top of its head. The example alt text is 'A capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa. Yellow yuzu fruits are floating in the water, and one is balanced on the top of the capybara head.'
So when you upload a photo there's a little Alt button on it in the top left. Click on that (it's also had me do it if I click the pic in general) and it will give you a text box.
I like this image for the 'what to say'. Your goal is to add the context you would want if you couldn't see the image.
Yeah I'm a bit conflicted about this. Mainly because I've often had negative experiences with people who are really loud about being allies and safe spaces. And conversely, positive experiences with really non activisty types who are just..... nice. And good. But I can also see the benefit.
Wow?????????
If you want to support local bookstores in the UK, online options are:
www.hive.co.uk - every purchase supports high street bookstores.
Wordery.com - online bookseller. Amazon alternative.
Bookbutler.co.uk - bookseller price comparison site.
Hatchards, Waterstones, The Works, Blackwell, Foyles.
This is immensely cool. Do you know of anywhere where Nat grid is gonna display stats about this in use? You know the way you can track current electricity production and prices on Drax electric insights or similar?

Ok I need to breathe. Unfortunately you're not going to be reading any other authors for a goodly while. I hope you don't have any important life events coming up. You'll need to give up on the idea of solid hours of sleep. Good luck π«‘π«‘π«‘
OHMYGOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDD OMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOD
I was learning just yesterday about how deeply and intrinsically the church of England, and the then archbishop of Canterbury, was involved in slavery, the slave trade, and profits from slave grown sugar in particular. Not caring about humans is pretty par for the course so this fails to surprise me
Adore this π₯
I only started using alt text when I came here so this website can actually make you a better person.

You're doing absolutely fine. Yesterday I went out in public for many, many hours and interacted with many adult humans before realising my skirt was inside out.
