Advice for blokes: probably not a good idea to stop a woman on her own carrying grocery bags after dark just because you want to ‘get to know her’. It’ll probably make her anxious all the way home.
… and there are now like 5 more novels. And then it occurred to me that I do sometimes reread fiction via audio. And yep, the Slatter was available on audible. So I’ve started Vigil that way and have found my ebook of Discount Armageddon ready kick off that reread. Urban fantasy FTW #booksky
So then I was all… where do I start rereading? I’ve read a lot off my TBR pile this month so some rereading might of me good. I narrowed it fown to Angela Slatter’s Verity Fassbender trilogy which I’ve finished. Or Seanan McGuire’s Incryptid series which I last read in 2020… #booksky
Today I stumbled across some ‘where to start reading Fantasy’ videos on YouTube and it occurred to me that there are some limited perspectives in those kind of videos, so I started considering what I might recommend. And then realised a lot of my favourites I’ve not read in a long time. #booksky

Listening to my audio book Regina: The Queens Who Could Have Been while doing chores, gaming and maybe stitching. At 1.2 speed I could finish it and still have a few hours to read something else… Though I have just remembered the Brave game this evening. Hmmm. #booksky #readathon
Book cover Square to the Puck by J.J. Mulder
Just finished a second book from my currently reading pile for Dewey’s #readathon #booksky It was a fun one.

Gritty is already being terrifying on TikTok. This finals series might be a riot.

youtube.com/watch?v=DFP5... March did not go well when it came to finishing books 🫤 #booksky #booktube
Or I saw someone suggest an Ed Gamble suggestion as apparently they’re friends and that is the sort of torture Ed would be on board for.
New #Taskmaster. Alex has chosen violence from the very start 🤣🥚
Playoffs clinched baby!!!! #LetsGoPens 💛🖤🏒🥅🐧
I did in fact immediately go and rewatch the Dirty Computer short film. 🤷🏻♀️🩷
Paperback of Almost Perfect by James Goss
Have been grabbing whatever catches my attention on my TBR shelves while on leave. This is another Christmas present from a brother that I never got round to. Only one of those left I think. Twas a romp. 😉 #booksky #torchwood
Paperback copy of The Memory Librarian and other stories of Dirty Computer by Janelle Monáe
I’m a good month behind where I should be on reading targets, but making some progress during my time off. Grabbed #thememorylibrarian by Janelle Monáe off my TBR shelf on a whim & devoured it. I want to rewatch Dirty Computer now. #booksky
Hip update: still sore & tight but maybe slight improvement? The pain feels less sharp this morning
Yep. Figured.
I am now halfway through The Acolyte. Enjoying it but not super attached to any characters. Have a couple of ideas about this Master person. We’ll see. #StarWars #TheAcolyte
Since chiro is not working, went & got a remedial massage to try & release the muscle behind my hip a different way. Still sore but maybe a bit more mobile? The key will be how I wake up tomorrow. Honestly any change is progress at this point.
The book has been staring at me from my TBR shelf for years, the show finally spurred me to read it as I’m a book first kinda gal. I need to be in the right mood for fictional TV these days but it’s high on my list.
Watching the replay. Anyone else sometimes think Tanger is basically Sid’s touchy but loyal feral cat?
