Fluid drained! My mom was a champ!!! Her lung is gonna be crazy dry!!! We've been here 14h!!!!

Props to the MUHC, every doctor and nurse here has been masked and we were encouraged to do so when we came to the urgence. Patient adherence is about what you'd expect but I expect nothing so I was pleasantly surprised.

13h, getting fluid drained from lung. My friends are asleep so I guess I'm just livetweeting this lest I be alone with my thoughts! We're staying overnight, I hope I can still sleep sitting up like I did in my 20s!

Oof, kidney stone is gnarly I can't believe he had to wait that long, did they give him pain relievers??? We're in a hallway now with a lady who knows everything about the hospital and how to do everything, this is good.

We had a 2nd triage and then a nurse and an ekg. Could be another cpl hrs before doctor. We were told they're especially busy, but I can't tell the difference. We've never been to this urgence before, my mom says they seem disorganized (she was a healthcare wrkr) but I can't tell the difference.

I been here 10hrs.
